Review Time
Professional, knowledgeable, respectful, honest/sincere sales representative offering realistic prospective front start of the interaction until the end. There was no hard sell effort. Presented company demographics in realistic terms and without unwarranted hype.
A revised review... My initial impression of Champion Windows was fairly positive. I signed an original contract on March 22, 2024, to have three (3) large sets of windows installed instead of all 10 of my existing windows. However, even after having the sales rep (Brad, a very nice man) come back to my house on March 28, 2024, to revise the contract changing the style of those three (3) windows, thus saving me $125 per window, I determined that the project was not going to significantly benefit me financially, since the length of time it would take for me to recoup my investment would be beyond my life expectancy due to my age. (Understand, that the only reason I even considered the project in the first place, was based on the advice of the HVAC company that installed a new HVAC system, who informed me that due to my single pane windows with only storm exterior windows, there was substantial heat and cold transfer (loss) which would shorten the life expectancy of this expensive new system. Therefore, I called Champion.) However, after carefully weighing the cost vs benefit, and not being able to justify the project, since I really needed to replace all 10 windows not just three (3), I called the Champion sales rep (and then the company) to cancel the project - prior - to the day they were scheduled to come to take the official measurements on April 2, 2024, (based on an email from Champion informing me of the date they were scheduled to send out their installers). This was after I had put the required deposit of 30% down toward the project. It was on April 1, 2024, which was just after the Easter holiday weekend of March 31, 2024, and less than 3 business days after I signed the revised contract, I had “buyer’s remorse,” and wanted to cancel the project despite the slight cost reduction. However, I was told that it was too late to get my deposit back based on the initial contract date, which I acknowledge is clear enough, but if someone revises a contract, I feel that the revised date should be the determining factor, especially because the company never sent out the measurement team, and therefore they should not have fabricated the windows, (which they should not have been able to do with only preliminary measurements from the sales rep and according to company policy based on the schedule from their email to me) they should have incurred little expense, and I was only asking for a portion of my deposit to be refunded. Sadly, my request was flatly denied, stating that if they made an exception for me, it would set a bad precedent. I understand their position, and apparently, I have no legal recourse. However, I am a senior citizen living only on a very modest SSA retirement, and I am on Medicaid as well, because I cannot even afford the monthly Medicare premium, so given my situation, why would they not be willing to return even a portion of my deposit. I am sure they make quality windows, (and other products) but even if my financial situation changes and I ever decide to do any upgrades in the future, based on my experience, I would NOT choose Champion Windows. Buyer beware!
This is a Review of our initial sales meeting with a Factory Representative. My husband and I set up an appointment to get q quote for 10 windows to be replaced. Let's face it these types of Sales meetings can be uncomfortable and even stressful. How happy we were to have Matt Tillery, Champion Factory Representative meet with us. Matt was on time and an absolute joy to meet with. He answered all our questions listened to our concerns and demonstrated his products with exceptional knowledge and confidence. We signed with Champion to do our 10 windows, Matt's attention to detail and excitement about the product increased our confidence that we made the right decision. Kudos to Champion for having such a impressive Sales Rep as Matt Tillery. We will continue to follow up with reviews during the process to help others make a more confident decision.
Overall, my experience with Champion windows was great. I did my research ahead of time by talking with other homeowners that had Champion windows and the feedback was good. I got half of my house done and it's been almost a year now and everything has been great. The only thing I would have a concern about is when I tried to schedule for someone to come out and look at something it took multiple tries to get someone out here. They kept canceling our appointments not even considering my time to leave work early to be home for them.
Rich was very informative and helpful, He answered all my questions and offered constructive professional advice. The demonstration of how Champion glass blocks heat and cold was very informative as was the prototype of Champions insulated window sashes. I am so pleased with Riches presentation and price quote that I will be cancelling an upcoming appointment with a competitor for a quote. Thank you Rich.
4.5 stars since some post install adjustments had to be made But overall from the sales rep, Jake to the installer rep Jesse and everyone in between an extremely happy experience. Good update on building progress, shipping and install everyone was punctual and efficient. Door looks great and we can feel and hear a difference
