The web page is terrible, chargers are terrible.

The web page is terrible. Telling me I don't have a card registered, when I do. 404 error when I try to add one. All my invoice history missing from my account. Chargers available in more rural places often don't work, or are just 7k. Spent 20 minutes on phone trying to get payment problems solved, but had to end up using friends account as they couldn't solve it. How are we to reach net zero with this abomination attempting to deal with our car transport problems. Makes me want to purchase a petrol car and support Shell.

I have just been refused connection…

I have just been refused connection because they have failed to take a direct debit payment for charges. It's a fleet account the company I work have had for a number of years and our office manager has been repeatedly in touch with chargeplace scotland and the last time was told the issue will be resolved. I have now had to pay myself as I need the van for work on Monday morning and our office is closed. Paid £30 administration costs then charge costs on top. Our fleet cards haven't worked for 2 years and replacement cards sent don't work either. We have had to call every night to be remotely connected. If I hadn't paid myself I would have to cancel the session I deliver to a school on Monday incurring loss of earnings. Whole company is a shambles and it's left to call handlers (who have always been great) to deal with it when their finance department should have resolved the issue months ago.

The service in Mull is appalling

The service in Mull is appalling. There are currently no fast chargers operating so if you arrive to travel around the Island, you can’t. The app is a disgrace and we have been charged £300 in fees for failed attempts despite the help from their customer service. They should be removed as operators

Don’t rely on Charge Scotland stations and app if travelling to Scotland. They are hit or miss.

I’ve just travelled from Surrey to Edinburgh, Grantown on Spey, Skye (Bradfoard, Portree, UIG), Invergarry, Inverness, Culloden and Milnathort. I’ve got to say the Charge Scotland network and app is appalling. Over half the stations I tried to operate didn’t work and had trouble with the app on most of those that did work. I ended up using electroverse app as the only reliable way to operate them. Best using Gridserve in Inverness or BP pulse if you are travelling to the North of Scotland.

Convenient Charging, but Watch Out for Payment Hiccups

As a new EV driver, I found ChargePlace Scotland’s stations pretty convenient in principle. It’s straightforward when everything works—you can just use a bank card, no need for a special app or RFID card. Plus, apps like Zap-Map help you find which stations are actually up and running. However, there’s a serious downside I’ve run into. If the machine glitches and the session fails, it still takes the initial £35 hold from your account. You might have to try again and get charged again, and waiting days for refunds is really frustrating. I had to pay multiple times in one instance before it actually worked, and getting the money back was a hassle. In short, when the stations work, they’re great. But if there’s a problem, be prepared for some payment headaches. Hopefully, they can fix that refund process soon.

Absolute joke

One charge port not working and not been working for over 3 wks. Only way to find this out is to phone helplineHave new hybrid plug in and tried to use webpay on charge Scotland..... After 4 failures phoned to be told the connection I was on was not working..... Display on machine did not say thisNo instructions on machine or on screen as you use it.Had to phone again and guy tried to talk me through how to get onto webpay site that I had already used !!!! AGH!!!Moved car onto totally different machine and got connected etc .. Also tried me to get RFID card at £12 to use charge Scotland and pay £30 up front onto card.. So £42 quid to use the cheap electric charger... ABSOLUTE JOJE & £12 TO GET A CARD IS A TOTAL RIP OFF... NO WONDER THEY ARE BRING FAZED OUT....AND Transferred TO OTHER COMPANY'SCANNOT BELIEVE HOW BAD ELECTRIC CAR CHARGIBG SYSTEMS ARE TO USE. DIFFERENT COMPANY'S USE DIFFERENT SYSTEMS TO ALLOW YOU TO USE THEIR MACHINES.

Disgusting EV charging Network

Disgusting EV charging Network. Stay well clear of these chargers if your visiting the Scottish Islands especially if you’re up John Ogroats are doing the NC 500 these chargers will just have you running around mental trying to find one that works taking £75 off you every time you need to charge 90% of the charges don’t work takes more than 7 days to get you £75 back you ring up and even the staff have not got a clue what’s going on with the chargers so if they’ve not got a clue what’s going on with the EV charges what chance does it give us visiting. GUYS Stay well away from the CHARGE PLACE SCOTLAND EV network its a disgusting service and very much spoilt our holiday.

How is this possible

How is this possible! A big name vo.pany like this one can't get anything to work properly when private companies can .I have been trying to use this app for years to charge my car and i have tried multiple chargers and never works!.. i tell you what works...the 35£ fee they take , the 10£ for a card and all other fees for a crap service...that works no problem....

Awful Service

App is terrible, and when eventually got charger to work found that 3 x £35 preauthorisation had been taken from my account. I spent £2.03 on electricity but still have nearly £105 out of my account for 3 days now. Going to Lidl next time
