I purchased the cheapCaribbean.com travel insurance plus. When I tried to use the insurance all I got from their operators was lies and misinformation. They tried to lie what was in the contract and then changed their stories when I read the contract to them. This happened over and over. They wanted me to pay to change my reservation even though that's what the insurance is for. 9400 dollar vacation plus 672 for the insurance and they wanted me to pay to change even though the contract states changes are allowed with the insurance. I feel robbed and they don’t have a real claims site. You can only call their *******322 number that is a call center in Mexico. No help what so ever. I've emailed them and sent them a comment through their website and I've heard nothing. Total farce and a breach of contract. Yourresponse below is pathetic. I’ve already reached out to your social team and got the same response of sorry nothing we are going to do. I’ve already purchased the domain Cheapcaribbean.net and will be rolling out a site dedicated to the Cheapcaribbean.com reviews and lawsuits. Have a great day.
Everything went wrong on way home fr trip. From several delays to being rerouted to having to sleep on airport floor, not making it to our final destination, having to rent a car to drive 3 hours home, lost luggage (received after 5 days of being home). Contacted Cheap Caribbean SEVERAL times via email and finally after a month received an email saying that the got the approval to refund my credit card $64!!! What a slap in the face! Will never book through them again and would recommend that nobody else does either!!!! Highly insulted!!
I was extremely hesitant to book with cheapcaribbean. But you have to keep in mind that the negative reviews are from disgruntled customers who had to cancel their trip. My vacation to Cancun was everything! They handled my flight reservation, transportation to and from the airport and my hotel reservation. Prior to being picked up from the airport I was given tips on “who to avoid” at the airport (so many solicitors). I appreciated these tips! The resort was beautiful; it was directly on the beach. You walk right outside and enter paradise. On my first morning there, they called me to check to see how I was doing. The hotel sent me a free bottle of tequila and a sweet birthday note on my birthday. There was also a pool/foam party at the resort on my birthday (so much fun!!!). The hotel had so much food and alcohol and the customer service was spectacular. (Although I was not a fan of the food). If you want to book any excursions Amstar was on-site to book them for you. I was so sad to go home because this was the best trip I have ever had (and it was solo). I will be booking again with cheapcaribbean and I have told my family and friends about them. Thank you so much Cheapcaribbean!!!
I'm calling them con artists because the representatives just tell you what you want to hear before you purchase…whether it's the truth or not. I purchased travel protection from them that permits you to cancel for any reason. When one of my party could not go, I tried to recover the cost of her trip and they told me I could not because nobody canceled her spot on the trip. This was not true as I was the one who canceled for her and once I sent them proof that I canceled prior to the trip, they changed their story and then asked for a doctors note. I explained that I purchased the travel protection with can cancelations for any reason. They still would not honor my travel protection. Regardless of this, their representatives are not truthful when selling you a vacation package. I had to upgrade my resort at the last minute because I came to find that many things that the representative that helped me book the trip, lied s out many things
We have booked with them 8 or 9 times, never had an issue, payment options are great. We have even extended our stay due to weather at home with no problems changing flights or with the hotel. Stayed in 2 places in the peak of covid with no problems. Even changed destinations 1 time with no problems. Just booked with 5 other couples for Sept, and another trip next Feb, we will continue to use Cheap Caribbean for all of our travel out of the country
Carol Bock was AMAZING. I called because I couldn’t get a promo code to work and I ended up speaking with her for 30 minutes and picking a resort! I loved her recommendations and her demeanor and she explained everything clearly. She asked for our budget, dates, flight preferences and was able to hook us up within minutes!
charged my account twice for $250 and was told it would take 2-4 days to refund funds, it is now day 20 and i still have not gotten my refund, i keep calling and no one picks up,this company is a rip off and deceitful and is fraudelent, DO NOT USE!!!
DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY! THEY WILL REFUSE TO ISSUE REFUNDS UNLESS YOU CANCEL WITHIN 24HOURS OF BOOKING, THEY WILL REFUSE TO LET YOU SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND WILL HANG UP ON YOU!! THEY WILL ALSO CHARGE YOU VARIOUS DIFFERENT CANCELLATION FEE’S AND SAY IT’S THE AIRLINES FEE’E WHEN ITS REALLY THEM!
If I could give them a zero I would, I booked a trip with them with insurance and then my daughter passed I had to cancel. They did tell me I have a credit, so I rebooked, then had to cancel because my partner was hospitalized for two weeks. They again told me I had a credit, when I tried to use it they gave me a lower amount of credit even though I have TWO emails from them telling me the correct amount of the credit. Every person you deal with is helpful, but not able to make decisions and getting a manager takes forever. It took me over a month to get this resolved, NOT to my satisfaction, but they hold the cards. DO NOT USE
