Review Time
It's laughable and deceptive how you say in other reviews that you are committed to being transparent and reliable. Really? How about you make your so called small print ( wherever it is ) large and bold. You say you are giving people a 2 day trial so they can try it out before they commit. I never committed. You took out £39.90 unlawfully . THIS IS FRAUD! Stop deceiving people. Look at all your reviews. They are saying the same thing . Have reported you.
These are clearly fraudsters. As with everyone else I was stung for several months of charges without being told it was a recuring payment or subscription. Don't just report here contact you bank/ card issuer and report them, report to action fraud and report to the Irish police.
I had an issue with my car log book. Just a small one, so I decided to get a car check like I've done when buying cars. I know the score; pay roughly £5 and get a basic check of your car. I've done it before. Two days later, I had a payment of £39.90 leave my account. Turns out it's a subscription service. A subscription service for a car check? Who is checking their car monthly? I signed out of my account and went in as a guest. It DOES say that it's a subscription service, right at the bottom, in very light text. For a service that people like me have used as one offs before with other companies.I got my money back because the company didn't respond to me. The email address I entered to chat wasn't recognised. Funny though, they recognised it when I needed a password reset.FOR PEOPLE TRYING TO GET THEIR MONEY BACK - here's what I said to my bank - " I requested a service of £5.95 to check details on my car. Two days later, I had a transaction of £39.90 come out of my bank account. Upon looking closer, this is for a monthly transaction subscription. At the time of the initial purchase, it was very unclear that this was a trial period leading to a subscription. Also it would have simply been impossible to cancel as the website claims to not have my email on record - despite the fact that they successfully completed a reset password request. I never received any emails confirming either my initial purchase or that a trial period was about to begin. The merchant I feel used misleading and deceptive practises to charge me, the subscription was not clearly disclosed at the time of purchase and the terms were unclear. I did not authorise a subscription. The company themselves have not gotten back to me, either via email or their online form. Please treat this a disputed transaction and please cancel any recurring payments, as they are not responding even to a subscription cancellation."PEOPLE - when disputing with your bank, use words like "unauthorised subscription" "misleading" "deceptive practises" "unclear". My bank couldn't have been quicker or more helpful. Two more things - I think I clicked a sponsored link on Google, so they have something to answer for. Net neutrality is being eroded.Secondly - and humorously - I see there's a rep from the company answering all of these complaints. Hello! Really odd that such a unscrupulous company has some poor person answer all these.
BEWARE!!! Scam company. Nowhere online does it say they will take a payment of £40 2 days after you pay £5 for a hpi check. And when you call them they answer and then they can’t hear you. I manage to get the name of the person called Marium but poor thing must have been alone because I got her all 3 times that I called. Will be going to the bank and report it as fraud and see if they can recover the money back. I am a single mother with 3 children and with Christmas coming up I’m now going to struggle for gifts. Absolutely horrified and devastated this happened when I was in such a bad place already.UPDATE: they redeemed themselves a little by refunding.
Went onto their website to check a car I was going to purchase. It offered me a full report for £14.95 with a £9 pound discount. I went ahead and paid the £5.95 and got the report. One hour later, they took a further £39.90 from my account. When I contacted them via the website, there was no answer, but then I emailed them using their email address and they responded by saying that I had signed up for the premium service at a monthly cost of £39.90 which they say was clear on their website which it was not obviously. Clever wording and easy to miss offer terms and conditions means you could get easily roped in. They agreed to cancel any further monthly payments, which is a good job as I only wanted to check one car, but refused to refund and also to add insult to injury said that as I had unsubscribed, I had no further access despite having paid 45 pounds within a couple of days. Shocking! avoid, maybe not scamming, but certainly sharp Practice
