Excellent Finance company, I can thoroughly recommend Close Brothers for financing a vehicle. They were very quick to make a decision for acceptance and also excellent with follow up email explaining all future options regarding my agreement. A true 5 star company.
Update: thank you for the response hower my loan is complete now. I've had no problems with regards when and how much money was paid each month. All went very smoothly.I wanted to settle early but could never manage to reset my online password. I tried emailing a few time but the details I gave them were apparently wrong (not sure how I could do this and was absolutely correct!) So, they would nit help me. I ask what part was wrong, they said they could not go any further. So, I couldn't get online and customer services wouldn't help either. I ended up giving up and just waiting it out as I only had 6 months to go.
PCP agreement ended beginning of may, returned car awaiting for money owed for any damages and going over agreed mileage on agreement. Absolutely 0 correspondence in 4 weeks and a lovely missed payment on my credit file for an agreement that is ENDED. Awful customer service in the past AVOID
Update,i got a phone call from a man claiming to be from close brothers yesterday to say there would be no more money taken from my account and when i checked with customer care they still are trying to take money from my account,this call was from an English number which i tried to ring back and it was a dead toneclose brothers are a bunch of scammers they don't run there complaints procedure professionally and give email complaints that are not followed up nor answered. I stopped my direct debit to ensure they would not be taking any more money from my account as i already paid in full and would advise anyone with the same issues to do the same Under section, 2.1,2.2 and 2.8 close brothers are not complying with the legal requirements when a complaint is undertaken and as such can be followed up by contacting Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman for anyone who is having the same nightmare with this disgrace of a company and I am. I'm in Ireland and have with close brothers a few years,and get my insurance finance through them with chill,I pay the outstanding balance early every year,as did I this year and 2 times it was confirmed I paid in full by phone and I have the receipts to prove this,I had asked for an email confirming my payment and was told i would get one yet still nothing so I rang close brothers last Friday only for them to tell me I still owe 125.00 euro,I asked to speak to someone and make a complaint and they were no help so I googled the phone numbers and emails for complaints and still nothing in fact the complaint phone numbers are not even ringing so they are not efficient nor trustworthy.As of July the first I have rang every number possible and I have found out that these people do not in fact have a phone number for making complaints nor do they reply to your complaint email if anyone is going through the same I would advise to cancel your direct debit with them If you don't owe them money and to follow through with the ombudsman because they will try to take money from your account,because I truly am disgusted with this company they are gone way downhill and they come across as scammers
If zero were an option I’d select that. Scraping the barrel with the “customer service” couldn’t be much worse. Ask for a manager call back, based on lack of information and clarity regarding early payment, doesn’t happen, instead they review your complaint based on “the customer service” advisors comments and send you a fob off email. Communication is appalling. If someone could kindly explain to me how paying an agreement off early equates to MORE money than the cost of running the term, I’d be grateful? I wouldn’t recommend this company to an enemy.
TO DONT TRUST THEM.Very bad Customer service. If you make more then one complaint they don't take them seriously and bundle them all together so that it only looks like one complaint instead of several. This means they get more complaints then they tell people. I have called up several times and each person I speak to tells me a different story and then promises to phone me back that day and nothing.
