Review Time
Placed order on the 30th of July pre order.Had a email and tracking no on the 18th of August saying order on the way. It's now 25th of September have not received order Do they take orders and your money but do not have stock to fulfill them.
No one has turned to deliver the stair lift, a delivery time and date was given. Supposed to have installation tomorrow. Not very good customer service once the deposit is paid. Been waiting all day, no call to say they're not coming. Disappointed for my mum who needs the stair lift.
Beware - the £1 sale they have is a complete con. They know that people won't just buy an item for a £1 but will have a look around and buy other stuff at the same time, which is exactly what I did. It took 10 days for the package to arrive and lo and behold the £1 item wasn't in there. There was no explanation but the payment they took had included it. Having just called I have been told that they sold out because so many people were buying it. The system supposedly updates every couple of minutes re what people are ordering but the lady I spoke to said they have had other unhappy callers like me who have been told their item wasn't available even though their order was accepted. If they know the system can't cope with high volumes in a £1 sale then they shouldn't offer the goods in that way. To add insult to injury the lady I spoke to admitted I wasn't on the list to be given a refund (yes I know it was only a £1). That could be a nice little earner couldn't it if lots of people think oh well it was just £1 so I'll let it go. The lady I spoke to was very apologetic and is now refunding me the £1 and also the postage I paid for the order for which I am grateful. In my opinion Sarah Davies is spreading herself far too thinly in her seeming desperation to redeem her company. Customer service is clearly not on her agenda anymore as she takes over every available crafting arena in her quest. I shall be giving CC a miss in the future.
I had a problem with my Gemini ll. The plates and cutting die were jammed in the machine. I rang customer service , they arranged for the machine to be collected and returned on a date and time convenient for me. In around a couple of weeks my Gemini was returned fully repaired with my alphabet cutting die and full set of brand new plates included. Much to my delight,there was also a lovely pink case to hold the plates. The case alone costs £20, the set of plates are around £50 I was so excited to find these expensive items added to my machine. I am on a very tight budget and to buy my Gemini ll was large purchase for me. Thank you so much CC . From the moment I rang their customer service, I've had nothing but polite and courteous service . The lady at the other end of the phone was lovely ........I have no complaints there. I have purchased many other items from this company and never had a problem with anything. I would like to see the cutting plates modified in some kind of way. They warp so quickly.
Awful customer service. I order the Crafter's Companion Shimmer Spray and one arrived and did not spray.They asked me to then get some more bottles to fill with water to try and clean the product. I could not believe that I purchase something brand new, receive it and then I am being asked to try and fix it my side.I was expecting they would just send out a replacement!It is like ordering a cardigan, it coming with a hole in and the company ask you to go get some thread and a needle and fix it!
Really disappointed with quality of light box and lengthy delivery. Sara promised that items bought on 16th June would arrive by 20th. Item finally arrived on 23rd and was faulty- doesn't light all the way across. Quite flimsy. Told I have to pay for return postage. Poor customer service and to add insult ti injury its cheaper on Amazon than buying direct. will not be buying from CC again.
Two or three years ago I purchased a downloadable paper pack - lovely Xmas papers. Totally forgot about them and when I remembered I couldn’t find any mention on my account or website. I contacted customer services who told me that the website was being updated and that a new downloadable items section was being prepared by their programmers - she would let me know when ready and link me to my particular paper pad.Unfortunately this wasn’t possible but Julia Rowlson took the time to email every page as jpegs - not a quick option.I cannot tell you how pleased I was to get my Christmas design paper and how grateful I was to Julia for the extra effort she put in to doing this for me.This level of customer service is not the ‘have a nice day’ kind but is exceptional, thoughtful and above and beyond today’s norm.Thank you Julia
Telephoned to see if “priority dispatch/delivery” was an option making it clear that certain items would only be ordered if they would arrive in next couple of days. I was told to go ahead - if it wasn’t dispatched Friday, it would be Monday. Well. No movement… Really don’t understand the dispatch process where ever other supplier can offer expedited for a premium. Not like I was expecting it for free. But I also don’t expect an unknown delivery timescale for the volume of the order.
This is my second review on this company, and the products they sell on the Hobbymaker website specifically with Sarah Davis. She makes it sound as though you are getting an absolute bargain with all these packages of craft items that are unbelievably cheap. No surprise there then that the die folders are all very nice but you can’t get the inserts for them anymore anywhere. Absolutely bloody useless! Most of the other bits and pieces that arrived in my package are all cheap rubbish that I would not use to be honest. Hobby Maker channel themselves are pretty useless as they send emails telling you they look forward to receiving your new jewelry! Clearly they are part of the Gemporia group which is also useless. Avoid like the plague cos if it sounds too good to be true, it is!
Appalling over 2 months ago I purchased brand new Gemini Junior. 1st go the plastic plates broke. I contacted Crafters Companion and was given a credit note to spend when replacements come in. Just hefn told can be quite a few months for them to come so I have a brand new machine that is useless because it cannot be used. Will certainly think again about buying anything else of crafters companion. What has happened to this company they are getting worse. I used to buy their products all the time.
