Predatory billing practices - avoid at all costs

Creative Fabrica charged me £56.40 without authorisation, pushing my account into overdraft. When I investigated, I discovered they'd done the same thing in June—another £56 I'd missed. I never authorised these subscription extensions.Their "defence"? They admit on TrustPilot that payments are taken through dismissible pop-ups with NO confirmation page and state in responses to other reviews that it makes the process 'easier' for customers. Accidentally click while browsing? That's £47 + VAT gone instantly. Imagine if accidentally clicking on an ad was taken as an agreement to buy the product! A quick search shows this has been happening to a lot of people for a long time, and reading their responses here shows that they have no intention of fixing this issue. Creative Fabrica knows exactly what they're doing—they rely on people missing these charges and not disputing them.Any legitimate company would require payment confirmation before processing £47. This is a deliberate, predatory practice designed to extract unauthorised payments from accidental clicks.I've been refunded, but the damage is done. I'm too anxious to use the site despite the remaining 200 days of paid subscription. When rent is due and you're already struggling financially, a 5-7 day refund timeline is useless. They do not allow removal of payment information while a subscription is active, even after cancellation, so I will have to block them through my bank if I want to continue using the subscription I paid for. I'll also be reporting them to Consumer Protection.On top of all this, their representative 'Anna' had the nerve to email me to ask why I had cancelled! The lack of self-awareness is mind-blowing.Stay away from this company.--------Edit to respond:Hello Anna,I'm pleased to hear that recent changes have been made to improve the subscription extension purchase process.Does this mean that from now on there will be a review screen, enabling people to confirm they actually agree to the purchase?Also, can you confirm that from now on, an email receipt will be sent when a subscription extension is purchased? I have just realised that I only received a receipt for my initial subscription. No email was sent to alert me to either of the two unauthorised purchases, which appears to suggest deliberate deception.Your company has clearly violated several provisions of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and broader EU consumer protection law, so I shall be very interested to read the updates your team has 'already provided', but for which you omitted to provide evidence or a link. Please let me know where I can find this information.UPDATEI received an email from Anna on October 2nd, 2025, assuring me that "the feedback received regarding the extension pop-up has been taken on board, and this pop-up has now been disabled." However, a recent review shows that someone else fell victim to the pop-up on October 17th, proving that this was a lie. I have now reported them to Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) for their illegal practices, and I would urge other victims of this scam to do the same.

Good service, but try canceling your subscription... Impossible. And after the trial period expires, it's set to annual payment, not monthly. So be careful. They're misleading.

Excellent Customer Service

I have been here for several years and I have to say that they have excellent customer service. I have accidentally clicked on Add Another Year repeatedly when I'm not ready and they have never given me an issue when giving me my refund. The Customer Service is very good and I plan to be a member for years to come. Very satisfied. Thank you!
