Terrible experience with Cruise America – unsafe RV and zero customer supportWe rented an RV through CamperDays (provider: Cruise America) for a trip from July 1–9, 2025. Right from the start, the vehicle was defective: the gear shifter was broken, the engine warning light was on, and loose wires were hanging inside. The RV was clearly unsafe to drive. We contacted Cruise America immediately, but received no response — no assistance, no mechanic, no guidance. We returned the vehicle early and the mechanical issue was confirmed by staff, but to this day, they have not responded to our formal complaint submitted to cr @ cruiseamerica . com on July 13, nor the follow-up on July 27.No apology, no compensation, no communication.Cruise America charges for services they do not provide and takes no responsibility when things go wrong — even when safety is at stake.Avoid this company at all costs.
awful experience… they gave us an already broken RV , they said it was normal… After 1 day it really became life threatening ( as they obliged us to drive to a garage)… their customer assistance was no where, we were left completely alone, had to find solutions for ourselves. They were looking for a solution asap, which was 6 days later!!! No help at all. Replacement RV was in bad shape ( interior) as well, but at least we were able to drive around. After this awful experience they only want to refund 2 days of rental and none of our expenses…. it’s a disgrace and I will never rent with this company again, although we did many years ago… service has tremendously gone down…in response to the answer of Cruise America… we have contacted the customer relations already, who forwarded us to claims… the proposed a totally inappropriate refund ( just 2 days of rental),” take-it-or leave “and don’t want to communicate further… The way we have been treated is totally unrespectful!!! Totally unbelievable! They have our file so they can always come up with an appropriate refund if they have any kind of respect for their customers…

Like Elizabeth I would give a ZERO at this stage.Day 1 rang to notify that fridge was not working on electricity as it should when hooked up.Day 2 the motor AC started leaking freon gas into the RV as we drove: smell of acetone, red eyes, unbreathable, CO alarm going off. Also stopped on the side of freeway to rush all out, family and small children. Was told to drive to a garage, where we spent the rest of the day. Now travelling without AC in Arizona heat.Day 3 the fridge broke down altogether. So after spending good money, we are now stuck without AC and without fridge.Repeatedly asked assistance to be contacted by more senior supervisors/management to discuss options, still no reaction after 2 days, apparently ruining customer vacations is not a concern.
