I've always had a great shopping experience n just recently I've had my 1st scammer. He mailed an empty box n because the tracking said delivered automatically it was thought it was in the box to the depop robot. But once I emailed the support team my situation it was handled efficiently n quickly. Got my refund n started shopping again.
Recently got scammed but they helped me get my money back. Very helpful and kind while talking to me personally. And that (the scamming lol) was the only issue I’ve had on Depop so far. Otherwise it’s been easy to get things and it’s almost always went well. I’ve never sold anything so I can’t speak on that, but as a buyer I’ve had nearly no issues.
I buy something via Depop, the item arrives not as described, so I raise case, no change to case status on app. for 20 days, I raise support query to be told they sent email with return instructions but how would I know when the app shows the case is being ‘investigated’.The best bit they then close case after replying to support query as id not provided evidence of return before I could even reply to support message.You think Vinted are bad, these guys make them look professional avoid at all cost.
Sellers are mostly young, immature people who has toddler tantrums when people request a refund. They claim the clothing is "like new" , even when it overly worn, with green arm stains, holes and dog hair. It also full of procrastinators, so your item might not be shipped at all. Stick to Ebay where real adult sell.
havent used depop in over 3 years. the way it worked before (i dont know if its changed but if it has i wasnt informed) was if you werent active on depop for like a month or so theyd hide your account so no one bought anything. i receieved an email last week saying i sold an item i dont even own anymore when i dont even have the depop app and havent accessed it in years. what a nightmare - had to explain to the buyer & refund which is fine but i also lost some money refunding her postage. just dont use this, i honestly didnt think anyone used it anymore - vinted is a thousand times better
Depop are quick to get back to you for support and the issue was resolved. But I am still waiting on the other issue with the PayPal link, this has not been resolved and very frustrating when you are paying enormous fees, the IT department should be able to fix this without a doubt. I still haven’t heard back from them in a few weeks. I like the site for selling but I really need PayPal, please.!!!
