My experience has been one of a kind! Emma has been so accomodating and hasn’t felt like a coach but has felt like a friend! I felt like I could always be honest and talk about my concerns and I absolutely love how she always found a way to incorporate the food and exercises I love! She truly is so amazing and Empower is totally worth it!
I love my coaching with empower, the workouts and meal plans are great and I love that you can message at any time to have a chat about how you’re feeling or if you need help with something. I definitely recommend joining empower! Especially grateful for Tash who is always super supportive and non judgmental
I can see overall how this app could work for some people, however it didn’t work for me. The fitness plans seemed quite basic and also didn’t really take into account what someone might be capable of doing or what equipment was available to them. I was also under the impression that I’d be working with Emma, not someone else as this is what I was paying for. However, I have to say…the girl I worked with Mel, was absolutely fantastic and I can’t fault her support & guidance. She was truly so kind and really did her best to push me. The main issue for me was the meals. They were so bland and lacked nutrients for me. I don’t want to be eating fakeaways everyday or bland food as this is where I end up eating out or binging. For me it ended up being a waste of money but I guess I wanted it for accountability as I know how to train & how to eat. I also take responsibility for not putting in as much effort, but I do believe if the meals were better, I may have felt motivated to stick to it more. It did encourage me to increase water intake which was good and just get confirmation on macros again. Overall it’s nice to have tried it but it’s not something I’d put money into again. Like I said, it could work wonders for some, if they enjoyed the food and the training plans. I really liked the app and the one to one messaging which usually I got a reply to very quickly. The exercise also provided rest timers which were super helpful! It’s easy to read reviews and be put off but my suggestion is trying it for yourself and just committing to it short term eg 3 months to see how it feels.
Really disappointing and absolutely not worth the price tag.The plan I was given contained lots of elements that I couldn’t eat (I have a milk allergy that they asked about and was shared with them at initial consult several times). They then at the next check in half heartedly swapped it out for a completely random recipe or just told me to remove the dairy part of the recipe. Seems quite lazy! Some of the recipes are literally just go and buy some processed item (I had quorn sausages in my plan) and call that a healthy snack? As someone who has a degree in nutrition I am also quite shocked by some of the misinformation. I really like emma after following her on insta, but never actually came in contact with her once and was only spoken to by really pushy girl who didn’t really know all that much other than which leaflets to send? Might aswell be a chat bot.I do like the sentiment in supporting woman try have a better relationship with food , however the meticulous calorie and macro tracking is not helpful and can be quite damaging ( it was for me).You have to do tape measurements of your body parts and take progress selfies which just perpetuates disordered eating/body image issues.I could go on about how rubbish the whole experience was , but in essence I absolutely would not waste your money and time. Go ask chat GPT and it will give you better advice , information and support.
GUYS PLEASE LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!! From someone who has been following emma for 2 years and truly believed she was genuine. She’s just an influencer at the end of the day. They don’t really care to know how you are feeling for the check in and it all feels like a copy and paste reply. I didn’t even know who I was talking to and whenever I voiced how I was feeling insecure they gave me a basic “sorry you feel that way” response. For all that money per month you would think they’d take the time to truly talk to their clients. It’s not even worth 50 bucks a month let alone 145. All you are paying for realistically is the food plan and a generic ass response because your workouts stay the same for 6 months. The food isn’t good-they don’t make sure you’re doing the movements correct-they don’t take the time to listen to their clients concerns. The worst part is that I did 3 months and wanted to stop being “coached” by Emma and she wouldn’t let me quit because I signed up for a 6 month commitment!! I had to block her payments from charging me and report them as fraud. That’s all this buissiness is, a fraud. You aren’t getting coached you are being scammed by some generic influencer who doesn’t give a f*$k. All I’ll say is they are nice LOL. Please please listen to the negative reviews because I regret not doing so.
Joining Empower is the best thing I’ve ever done for myself! I’ve spend most of my life struggling with my eating and fitness, trying extreme diets just to try and shift some weight but since joining Empower I’ve adopted really healthy habits that I know I’ll keep up with for years to come. I’ve never felt better in myself and I never thought in a million years that I’d be capable of the things I’ve accomplished with Empower. Massive thank you to Flo and Emma for their ongoing support and encouragement - absolutely changed my life!
feel like this program is probably good for people who are complete novices. I was gutted to find my personal needs were not considered, I had the wrong measurements celebrated and it just wasn’t personalised at all. The 3 month commitment seems like a just a moneymaking scheme. I flagged my concerns early on and nothing changedI was also told my review was not a genuine experience - the team are going through trying to delete reviews so I’m dropping my rating to 1star - I had to submit my invoice to prove I was a customer - ridiculous
I was extremely excited about working with Emma from what I had seen on her Instagram page, however my experience was the complete opposite. I specifically stated foods that I did not like yet EVERY week I had to ask her to change my plan, she even said she’d made a note on file yet every week it happened. I also requested a meal that I’d seen on her Instagram page but she didn’t know which one I was referring to so told me to add it all into MyFitnessPal myself - I thought that’s what I was paying her to do!!! I also found the calories on some recipes to be between 100-200 less than what she’d stated which is a huge difference across the day/week.
After working with ‘Emma’ for the past four months (it wasn’t Emma I was working with although when you sign up it’s made out this way and is the reason I joined), I am really disappointed. As mentioned above, I joined as I thought I’d be coached by Emma. The reason I wanted this is because I feel she’s been in the same position as me once, and knows what’s this feels like. I was given another coach, but I never knew if sometimes I was talking to her or Emma as they would very rarely sign their names off.I was given a meal plan every two weeks and a workout plan (although the workout plan was updated much less which I understand why for consistency) but they’d always ask in my check ins what good I fancied or what I wanted to improve incorporate into my meals that week - but they’d never actually incorporate this. So seems pointless to have this question and then not ever take it to account. I asked twice for them to incorporate a meal I’d seen Emma post on her Instagram and they gave me something similar but not the same meal, which again made me feel like I was never actually listened to. When I filled out my initial questionnaire I said I’d like the cheapest and quickest meals possible, but often I was given meals with Tesco ‘Finest’ ingredients and that would take 45 minutes+ to make. The workout plans you can find on more or less any fitness Instagram page. Over 4 months I spent £500 and got generic answers constantly of ‘you need to drink more water’ or you need to do more steps’, which is info I could find out online from anywhere and is just basic knowledge. As others say, if you ever complained you’d get ‘Aw sorry you feel that way’ and I just felt like all the answers were drafted for the coaches to use. Feel like the coaches don’t actually get you know you as a person at all. For that price I would at least expect as the bare minimum a weekly Zoom/Teams call to check up on you, but all I got was one generic message a week after my check in saying ‘well done, keep going etc’ and nothing else for motivation. If I was struggling I’d ask questions, which they’d completely ignore my questions and just talk about something else. Also they don’t take into account your lifestyle at all - there should really be more understanding of some people work long hours, or have young babies or children, etc and can’t just go to the gym when they want, or fit 10k steps in everyday like the coaches clearly can! To top it off I missed my last check in due to my husband being extremely unwell, and they said I had until the Friday to check in. I went to check in on the Thursday and they had kicked me off the app and removed my access despite it being the beginning of the month, and I had paid for the entire rest of that month!Overall it seems like they have too many clients and not enough time for a personalised experience - they’re just like every other ‘fitness influencer’/ ‘online coach’ on Instagram. Really wish I’d read the negative reviews on here before paying out such a large amount of money.
I joined Empower at the lowest point in my life and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I was so tired of being unhappy in my skin and uncomfortable in my clothes - I had been following Emma for a while and finally decided to pick myself up. I’ve had lots of slips and falls along the way but Emma and Mel have been so patient and understanding about getting me back on track. I’m still a work in progress but I couldn’t have done it without these girls and their kind words and delicious meal plans!! I’m forever grateful to Emma and Mel for their support ❤️
