I had been considering joining Empower for a year before I joined and my only regret is that I didn’t join sooner 🥹After struggling for years with disordered eating, this programme has helped me to heal my relationship with food. I’m eating things I always labelled as “bad” foods and am finally feeling confident in my body. Emma has been so supportive every step of the way especially on the hard days and it helps me so much having all my meals and workouts planned.Best thing I ever did for my confidence ❤️ finally feel so happy in my own skin after years of struggling
One of the worst experiences of my life. Please do not enroll with this program!I was so excited to join with empower, I loved Emma’s account where she would show before and after pictures of her clients & I was excited to be able to eat a range of meals whilst being able to build muscle. The reality however, was absolutely terrible.Questionable experience and qualifications: I told Emma that I wanted to add 5kg of muscle (I had no idea what I was asking but I’m not the expert, so I tried my best to communicate what I wanted as best as I could) She just got me 5kg heavier (all fat) and was focused on the number on the scale rather than how I actually looked. Anyone with decent experience in coaching would know from my pictures that I'm getting out of shape and not building any muscle!!!I was in the worst shape of my life, which was horrible as I put all my trust in Emma. There were a few moments where I questioned what she was doing and she kept reassuring me that all was well and the scale going up was the right way forward. I was desperate to gain muscle and I was paying £130 per month to rely on her, rather than myself, so I just went with it!!Im less desperate now and more knowledgable. I have dropped the body fat and managed to gain muscle all by myself with no bloody qualifications! Terrible meal plans: Most of her meal plans are full of sugar and processed food. I was eating so much rubbish and dairy, that I was sick for a few weeks. It got so bad I had to get an ultra scan. I hear that she suffers from ED, so I'm wondering if her macros and plans are causing more harm than benefit?! Does she actually know what healthy looks like? Personalisation: Honestly, now I'm more knowledgable and have managed to coach myself (lol) I have to say there is no personalisation at all. I signed up to the app that she uses, and it pretty much works it out for you. She didn’t keep tabs on my progression as much as she should have. She relied on what the app told her to do and kept going with it even though I was obviously getting out of shape. Her personal brand:It honestly annoys me that I signed up when she promoted muscle gain & would talk about how she suffered being skinny and now she’s much happier. But then all of a sudden she got extremely skinny then hated on the pics that initially sold to me and others. It seems like she changes the narrative to fit whatever she is going through. I honestly do not think she’s ethical. I think she’s suffering from an ED, confused, inexperienced & a little lost. If you look back at her instagram pics you will see phases of where she hates being skinny, then loves being skinny; hates being a gym girl who lifts heavy then loves it. Total contradictions. Honestly, if you want to build muscle, save your £130 per month and watch YouTubers like Coach Greg and Lyle McDonald, they pretty much tell you what to do for free. There’s so many actual scientists and researchers in muscle building that literally give knowledge away for FREE! If you’re unable to hold yourself accountable, ask your friends if they can help or put your money towards a decent in-person PT, who will most likely give you advice within the package and will ensure you work hard at the gym! You will end up falling in love with the gym & you will automatically want to learn more about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle on your own terms and based on your own lifestyle. A lot of these influencers with 100k plus followers are just trying to sell you something that helps them make money and can hook you in. They honestly don’t care about you. (Edited to say, that all of the positive reviews are when clients have worked with people in her team who have now left Empower. Whatever you do, do not get coaching by Emma! She’s a content creator, not a fitness coach)
To be completely honest, at first I thought this was alright but there wasn’t a great deal of communication, with previous online coaches I have had multiple messages from them each week. The coach I had initially been assigned to had then left and it took several days from anyone at EmPower to acknowledge I was being reassigned and since then it’s been very very poor service. Never hear from the coach, told them I was leaving but you have to do an additional month so fair enough but communication hasn’t been happening since I gave notice so unsure why I’m paying for an additional month as nothing is happening?
Previously used this company for online coaching and had concerns from the offset . This was during a period where Emma ‘was in the best shape or mindset of her life ‘ but now uses same pics for a before and after where. She’s is clearly suffering from a serious problem herself and I do not not think she should be allowed to coach other women whilst clearly not ok . Personal trainers are NOT qualified to give people macro nutrient breakdowns in their food and it is legally not something she should be doing . People like this need to be stopped .
There’s only one word to describe this: toxic!Emma is great at posting content that makes out that if you’re an Empower client, you’ll have true food freedom and balance.Behind the scenes she lowkey promotes ED behaviour, unhealthy eating patterns. This coaching company needs to be investigated. If you have a history of disordered eating, PLEASE PLEASE stay away. All of her previous colleagues who have actual nutrition and training credentials have left. You have to ask why! They no longer want to be associated with such toxic and dangerous advice. And now her sister, who has ZERO experience, is a coach. You’re paying circa £200-300 for someone with zero experience to coach you. Don’t do it !!!!Avoid this fraudulent business like your life depends on it
I’ve tried every diet, I’ve over worked out for 10+ years, labeled foods as bad etc. Emma really helped me refrain my thoughts around food. I now don’t have a negative connotation towards certain foods, I rarely binge eat anymore, I don’t believe I need to offset over eating with huge amounts of cardio. I’ve worked hard to be strong and I was able to look my best for my wedding in April, it was achieved in a healthy and maintable way. I stuck to the meal plan but even while in a cut I was able to eat homemade pizza, pasta etc and this really helped me not feel deprived. I appreciate Emma’s holistic approach, and wanting to understand about what’s going on in your life and providing support with staying on track. Thanks Emma for helping me get to a better place with my relationship with food. It has been a great 2.5 years! ❤️
The worst experience with coaching I’ve ever had. More fool me for expecting the same calibre as in person. very early on in the programme I made it clear I didn’t have a gym membership and so would be working out from home. I was still sent a full workout which I could only do on gym equipment, when this was then fixed the warm up was still for a gym member. The menu got updated just twice in almost 7 weeks and I was astounded when I fed back I was really bored of the workout programme that they would not amend or change anything. It’s really expensive , impersonal, I felt there was no value I could have just downloaded one full body workout and then written my macros down day on day. She. I expressed all of this they insisted I still had to pay another £290 . Even though I have cancelled the app. Lesson learnt for an instagram purchase. If it looks too good to be true it’s probably is .
I honestly wouldn’t be where I am today without Empower and my coach, Molly. For 21years I have struggled with food and body image, stuck in the same cycle and negative body image, negative beliefs and totally letting food, how I look and a number on the scales dictate how I look. I signed up for 6 months thinking I was going to completely cut my calories and get to my ideal physique asap. Molly brought me back to reality, made me realise that my ideal is not healthy and that I can’t live my life if I’m constantly fighting against my body/ my genes and fixating on my weight. I couldn’t be happier. This is not a quick fix, this is a lifestyle change and it’s okay if that takes me longer than the reels I get drawn in to. The meal plan has allowed me to branch out of my safe foods and try new things while still allowing room for plenty of the things I love. The workout plans have been tailored to me, providing gym and home workouts so I can pick what to do depending on my schedule. Not wanting to weigh my food and obsess about the exact weight or calories, I send Molly my pictures and she does the calculations for me.I honestly couldn’t ask more of Molly. The most incredible, genuine, supportive coach I could ever ask for. When I’m having a tough day, Molly is happy to listen and pick me back up. When I’ve fallen off the wagon, Molly is happy to pick me back up. When I’ve thought what’s the point, Molly gives the tough love and pep talk I need to continue for a healthier life. I have challenged foods, outfits and been able to spend more time being present with my friends and family knowing my meals are planned and I don’t have to stress about what I’ve had or what I’m about to have. I still enjoy myself and don’t feel like I’m on a diet or that I’m ever hungry. Anything I need or question, nothing is ever too much. The online forums help connect you with others, share recipes, cheer eachother on and support eachother along the way. I’m not there yet, but I am well on my way and excited to continue this journey. I am so much happier and healthier and I wouldn’t have been able to do this without their help. Thank you Molly for being you and all you do, for all of your professional support and guidance. You are quite literally the little cheerleader in my pocket and I couldn’t do this without you. No question about it, if you’re thinking of finding an online coach, you need to join Empower. You won’t regret it!!
I am about 6/7 months in with Empower being coached by Tasha, and I absolutely love it. They have built my confidence up from not wanting to leave the house to actually looking forward to wearing a new outfit out! Tasha has helped give me the tools to live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy going to the gym while reaching my long term goals rather than a "quickfix". I would 100% recommend Empower 🩷
