You try to buy a ticket online. The ticket turns out to be more expensive than the airline website. Don't you dare to get a refund or change your flight. They tell that it is non-refundable which is not true as you are able to get a partial refund on the airline website. Additionally, if you try to change the booking date, they will charge you more than 50 pounds when you can change it for free in the airline website. All of this is after they "CHECKED THE AIRLINE POLICY".
MISLEADING AND OVERPRICED - First I was mislead because I googled SKY Express and eSky's website popped up on top and it said Sky Expressesky.comsky-express.esky.comAirlines - Flights — Sky Express - Say goodbye to overpriced flights. I thought I was booking the ticket from Directly with the airline Sky express. I went through the whole process and booked my ticket. Then I tried typing my moms booking reference with the actual Sky Express airlines so I can see her seat number and we can sit together but her booking reference was not working because this was a different site. After looking very closely at the documentation I noticed its a third party and that I paid $332 almost double then my moms without the priority seating and boarding like my moms. I immediately created a chat that got me no where and then I called them to cancel the ticket. They told me they could only give me I think $156 refund. When I asked to speak with someone above her they put me on hold and then they said no one was available and that they would say the same to me because this is their policy. I ended up keeping the ticket, but thats the last time they see me.
Never use this company. My partially sighted friend booked with them, thinking she was booking directly with Ryanair - she clicked on the ads above her search result used to trick people. We were charged a £38 service fee plus £32 for seats that were never booked, and a bunch of other extras. Altogether, we paid £91 more than we would have if we'd booked direct.
Will never book through this website again. Booking process seemed smooth: finding flights I wanted, for a reasonable price.And then I paid.At no point in the process did it warn me, remind me, or notify me that there was a service fee. And somehow, I clicked on a button that quoted me 64USD, but afterwards I was told that I successfully paid 100USD. Somewhere between me agreeing to the price, and the payment going through, they tacked on a 36USD, NON-REFUNDABLE, 'service fee'.When I immediately asked for a cancelation, refund, I was told that the service fee was non-refundable, and they couldn't even cancel the flights if they wanted to. So...a service fee for...what service?(I won't even go into the horror I then experienced when I looked up the flights on the airline's website itself and found they were 60percent of the cost)
Payment was taken from my card and the website said payment was confirmed. Then I got an email saying the booking was cancelled and payment hadn't been taken, but the charge has stayed on my card. I'm now over £200 out of pocket and have no flight tickets. Total scam.
