Writing another review because despite you replying to my comment telling me to contact you via email, you have still yet to respond to my complaint and have still yet to release the hold on my card despite not having a reservation completed. Absolutely disgusting treatment of what would have been a potential customer, but now I wouldn’t go near this company. Avoid at all costs.
Case #20556287I have been asked to email the same email address that have already provided poor customer service following the “addition” of a premium package at Glasgow Airport. They have basically asked me to go through the whole process of waiting at least 7 days for a response when all I would like is a refund.A seriously frustrating company to deal with, thankfully never again.
trying to setup an online account.but hit an err: "This email address is already linked to an existing account."tried password reset, but no email arrives (and nothing in junk).tried online customer support form, but it says they will get back to me in 7 days.tried phoning customer services, opt 1.they suggested I phone customer services, opt 3.who suggested I email, which just rasies a ticket, same as the online form.so no help whatsoever for what should be a very simple task.
Paid for 3day hire in Birmingham. With full insurance.Bad thing happened and had to postpone the trip 1day so i called europcar to let them know i would pick up day later but for the previously agreed time. They refused to keep the car (that was supposed to be mine for 3days and paid for) and said i need to rebook and pay again! What thieves they are. Disgrace of the company. Sometimes life falls apart,we find ourselves in a hard moment and need just common sense in people and a bit of help. Forget it with Europcar, they will steal from you if they find opportunity.
Absolutely scammed by the Europcar team at Edinburgh Airport. Turned up with a rental voucher fully paid including required insurance. Was told I had to pay an additional £114 before car could be released as my 3rd party booking site had not carried insurance forward. Was told this was a system fault and would definitely be refunded, and this was the only way to get the car, Following return of car with zero damage, Europcar now claiming additional insurance was “entirely voluntary” and will not be refunded.
I hired a van from the Maidstone site for one day. The staff on site were very helpful.Unfortunately, the company has subsequently charged me £80 administrative costs for the Dart charge, despite no penalty being levied, and the charge being paid in full (I have documentation from dart.gov to show this).I tried on numerous occasions to pay the Dart Charge immediately after the crossing, but the van WAS NOT REGISTERED AS HAVING CROSSED. Explanations of this to Europcar have been met with the email equivalent of shrugged shoulders.I have used Europcar countless times in the past but will never be doing so again.Stick with Hertz!!!
