Review Time
The advertising of Wondershare Filmora’s ‘free trial’ was extremely misleading. I believed the trial covered the platform, but it only applied to assets. I purchased by mistake, canceled immediately without using, and appealed twice with strong reasoning. Their own policy says refunds are possible for the wrong product purchased without using it — but they still refused. Customer support was unhelpful, and the entire experience feels deceptive. I will not be using this product although it's available for me to use for another year and cannot recommend it to anyone. They don't care about people.
After two years of using this software for my basic editing, I wish not to renew this year but struggling to cancel my subscription: one happened to forget the password so, upon reaching out to customer service, the realisation that AI has replaced people confirms one's decision to leave. The problem now is that the website should email a code to change the password of the account in order to access it, but the code is never sent. This is already material for Ombudsman, though I hope not to have to escalate it. Can any living person contact me please to sort this out in due course, before renewal day gets any closer? Filmora do one thing constantly- they try and sell you stuff. They took away the option to filter by free in the filters and effects which shows you how much they hate people like me who purchased a life time licence. It can't handle long timelines, it stutters and freezes regularly. It once crashed during export and lost hours of work. It constantly tries to sell you AI functionality even if you're not interested. It is such a constant pain to use and any interaction with their customer support is terrible. They are entirely focussed on ramming AI into everything rather than improving basic functionality. This is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of working with. Without a doubt. I remember once they shut me off even though I have a life time licence. They then gave me some asset pack for free and then charged me for it after a month. And then when I complained, wouldn't refund me. Absolute con artists. Worst of the worst. Any positive review on here is bought and paid for.
I want using crack software previously, everything was working fine, after purchasing software, all ele,ments become premium and not able to use it, asking me to buy ever after bought software. I bought paid version. Advanced. Still there is most of assets for the additional payment. The worst thing was that they did not respect my right to give me my money back within my 14 days of purchase. Support is terrible they don't talk to you like to human being.
I like Filmora. I bought the version you can buy for a seat. I would have gave a 5 star if it wasn't for all the extra crap I don't like. AI is far too expensive to do anything. Website is overwhelming and sucks so I don't go there for information or lessons. I think they try too hard when it comes to features, like what's wrong with a tab, that you use to go too for basic standard videos templates, effects, etc for normal video editing things like a normal pan, a normal, zoom, a normal screen transition without the un-normal ones? A tab for normal lets you get there quick and learn normal editing before playing around outside the box. Then they can have an un-normal tab for other un-normal stuff that you can try out once you learn the basics. Just don't bunch up the basics with non-basics. I currently am making a cartoon. I would love to see more things added in order to make cartoons better. All the luts and video editing templates make my cartoon look like crap lmao. Again I don't go to their website for information so I have to use other sources to learn. Would love to see more options to manipulate the camera views once you picked a basic. There should be a different color for camera effects like pan right to left so they do not get confused with screen transitions. It makes it difficult to re-find if it needs adjusted. The app is kind of buggy too.
