I live in maximum LTE coverage area and my data kept turning on and off. Glad I noticed this before I switched my number over. Completely unusable. Shouldn’t be illegal to offer literally non-existent services while charging a monthly fee.
Subscribed to Fizz beta in the BC area, the price is cheap, but the issue is major technical issues both in Canada and the USA. It uses the lowest tier connection from Rogers in Canada and AT&T or T-Mobile in the USA. It's bad, like so bad that you need to have a line of sight to the tower to get a connection. Even then, it disconnects constantly. It's almost as if they oversubscribe their allocation. Anyway, stay the heck away from these guys if you care anything about reliability. It's been a few months, and the connection has not improved. I cancelled their beta; even at 5 bucks a month, it's a waste of time. I am also out the 15 bucks they charged for the SIM. Overall, a waste of time. I suspect there is almost no chance things improve because the major players Telus/Bell will keep them on the dumpster dive quality allocations forever.
After getting refuse to upgrade my contract with the new offers of Koodo because I wasn't a new client, I tried to negotiate with the customer services and it was a nightmare. The customer made a mistake with the spelling of my name that I repeated 4 times with spieling every letter and charged me 50 bucks. I said FU... It I went to the conerstore bought a Sim Card from fizz and in 15 min it was done and functional for less money. I regret not doing it in the last 5 years of my contract I recommend without hesitation. Here is my code for referral bonus of 25$ WO6H3
We have subscribed to the Internet service. Internet worked for about 5 months but then became Intermittent, and very slow when available. Support is via chat, and it is easy to chat with the help desk. However. the problem s that fizz.ca gives appointments with a technician - appointments that are not respected by the dozen. No-show last week, no-show yesterday, no-show today. No explanations. This is terribly frustrating, no Internet, no technical support, and an awful lot of time wasted in waiting and following up. If you need reliable Internet for your studies, or for work, then fizz.ca is a high-risk option.
Service worked ok just one day. Next day all SMS receiving stopped. Customer service absolutely useless and could not fix problem. I decided to cancel service after my interactions with them. So I was customer just one and half day. No body knows what happens next if I stay. At least they refunded payment for the month. Lost money for the SIM card. Don't even think about this company. Spend a little extra and have peace of mind.
I have been a customer of Fizz for my phone for less than a year but a Fizz internet customer for over three years. Fizz does not allow 'Wi-fi calling' as a feature on my iPhone. The forums have been asking about this for at least a couple of years and the response is always: 'soon'.What is amazing is that Fizz mothership, Videotron, offers wi-fi calling (who does not besides Fizz?). So it is not like the technology is super hard! What is also completely asinine is that I have wi-fi (internet) from Fizz but my Fizz does not allow my phone to take advantage of it. Who does that?
