I work from home and need to connect to VPN, was okay for awhile, then kept dropping. Impossible to work, I have upped my plan twice, thinking faster speed might help. Contacted customer service, what a joke. They sent a technician who confirmed the modem was in the worst spot possible and it would cost $60to move it. Did that 2 days later I'm kicked off VPN cannot log back in. My technical support says internet is almost nonexistent. Contacted cs again and they want another $60 to send another technician. May be much easier to just cancel.
Internet has been sporadic since getting the service installed a couple months back, and it has crashed more and more frequently. Today alone, it has crashed more than a dozen times and customer service is useless. No advice beyond unplugging and replugging the modem, which I've already done multiple times before reaching out. They take ages to reply to boot, there's no phone number to call. It may be significantly cheaper than other providers, but the discount isn't worth the terrible service.
I am in Greater Vancouver so there is no shortage of coverage. The best part I like here is that it lets me carry over unused data from one month to the next and the next and the next. This is perfect for me because I tend to not use it for a while, then suddenly use a whole bunch. Here's a $40 referral code if you're thinking of trying it: YRHGZ You get a free $40 credited to your account, and I do, too. (There's a promo going on right meow that makes it $40 instead of the usual $25)
Worst Experience with Internet Provider Ever.Fizz may work for some but I had nothing but negative experiences with them. I was excited by how simple it seemed to set up and get started and drawn to the no commitment model. From day one of receiving the modem/router, which I now know are notoriously cheap, outdated and wrought with issues (look up Puma 6 chipset), the problems have been nonstop. Constant latency issues, poor wifi range, service cuts entirely every 10 minutes, these problems also apply to ethernet connection. It's totally unusable for any real time application such as voice/video calls and online gaming. I work from home so this is a huge problem for me. Next is customer service. When you sign up they're extremely covert about the fact that traditional real time customer service is nonexistent. In order to speak with a human there's no phone number you can call. You have to agonizingly deal with a useless chatbot and if you're lucky, you'll be put in touch with a "human" that can take hours to respond to your messages and offers zero support whatsoever. Just the same scripted BS every time. "Have you tried resetting the router?" "Have you made sure all the cables are connected?" The messaging is often full of typos and gives the impression of zero care. In the end they will tell you that they need to send a technician, one representative told me that it was free if I hadn't made any "modifications" to the equipment they sent me, the next told me I would be charged $60 to my account just for the visit. I decided to save my money and switch to a different provider. I've never encountered such a negligent and impersonal company which is really saying something as far as Canadian ISPs go. I'm a fairly technical person and went through way too much trouble than it was worth running tests and attempting to troubleshoot the issues I faced on my own to no avail. If you at all care about getting your money's worth when it comes to your internet - go somewhere else. Fizz doesn't value you as a customer and clearly thinks you're stupid enough to continue paying them for their "service" despite offering next to nothing beyond trendy online UIs and branding. I'm not the type to write reviews but if this deters at least one person and saves them the trouble that I've dealt with I'll be happy. Do yourself a favor and stay well away.
Sim card arrive very quickly, transfering my number Fizz did not go well, did not woirk!I tried several times. On their website there is a "chat with agent" button. which did not work. I had to write a ton of complaint forms which each created a different "ticket" number. At the end I asked to get the cost for the SIM card and the plan refunded.I received the cost fore the SIM card back. The instruction to get via their website my refund for the plan was not working.I do not understand that a company which deals with their clients 100% via their website, has such a crappy website. Communication between client and Fizz is not good. At this moment I filed a dispute claim with my credit card company.I am also planning to contact CRTC and file a complain against Fizz.Sorry Fizz, but you really have to improve.....!
they have the worse customer service, I have been looking to active my new SIM card for the past 20 days, click on chat with an agent button won't work. chat with there team over email and messenger seems that no one understand that chat with an agent button doesn't work, 2 tickets opened since 07/17/2024 today is the 31 and no service no SIM card, they will of course send you those email we are doing our best to solve the issue. no actual solution for a simple issue for more then 2 weeks. I do not recommend this service at all even for cheaper.
Never experienced such bad customer service, it’s unbelievable. Was passed around 5 different people, none of who could understand my query and who just seemed to want to avoid processing any information or assisting. Waited hours in between just for Eduard/Mohamed/Cheikh/John/Thierno to do nothing and quickly try to close the chat. I like most other things about Fizz and have used them for years but it’s the first time I need assistance and this makes me want to take back all recommendations I ever gave to friends. In the end, they found a shady way to remove the “perks” they give with customer loyalty just to scrounge extra money from you. So so weird and still, haven’t talked to anyone who can answer my queries.
