Yes it’s a budget service, but it’s also ideal for kids or people on a budget. Coverage wise, it uses several networks and if one network is poor it roams onto others, so I have no idea why some people feel the coverage is poor unless they have specifically locked the network in network settings which would be a stupid thing to do rather than specify automatic which allows roaming. My daughter made a video which explains everything about Fizz you may find useful as their own adverts don’t explain much.Cheapest Cell Plan for Kids in Canada - Fizz Mobilehttps://youtu. be/qs3-IFlo3Ks
Very disappointing. Left a good plan with another provider to try Fizz. People calling me would not hear a dial tone when waiting for me to pick up, so they would just hang up.I have poor reception in my house so I need wifi calling, and it is not available via Fizz. (who knew it does not come standard with any provider?). Customer service is very poor, they ghosted me.
I bought a sim card for Fizz over a month ago. I tried to activate it but the website kept bugging out, first accepting my address but not my payment method (after trying 3 different cards), and then not even letting me get past the very first address confirmation screen, continually saying an error occurred. I've written to customer service and they opened a ticket which they closed shortly after saying it was solved and I just have to use a different card (this was not relevant to the issue I wrote them about-- the address confirmation screen). Then they reopened the ticket, and now it's been several weeks with NO progress. I asked them for an update weeks ago and they said they're still working on it. So now I've had to continually buy Airalo plans to actually have data since Fizz pretty much shows no effort in helping me. If you're not gonna solve the problem you should at least reimburse me for the money I spent on a SIM card I can't activate...
As of right now I would not recommend this service to anyone I paid for the sim card paid for a prepaid Visa like it says you can do for the initial setup and none of it worked so i just basically wasted 45 dollars on something that does not work
They suck ass! Oh ya covered in Ottawa, ok go to a museum in Ottawa with no service. Then just go fishing a tiny bit out of Ottawa with no service. No service in Carleton place or Perth and your phone will not stop cherping that you don't have service. Where the hell do you have service. It shows clearly that Ottawa does but not in the museum at the bridge of Gatineau. You can absolutely see they are a French dumb company with Videotron. Plus there list of phones on volte is false advertising it shows my phone but doesn't work . Never again a dumb Quebec company.
I switched to Fizz only to find out that in Leamington there's no home network even thought it shows it under the subscription area. We're always roaming while in Leamington, but there's no problem when we travel to Windsor. We've also had bad call quality, hard to hear and be heard, people calling me go straight to voicemail, LTE data stops working and have to reset connections all the time. I attribute all of this to the fact that we're roaming and not in a home network.I opened a ticket with Fizz and they said that it will be sent to another level for resolution, weeks later of no activity, I found out they had closed the ticket, still no resolution.I have no choice but to go to another provider since I am going to be entering the 3rd month and I've been roaming 98% since activation so I am technically violating their ToS and I don't want to have any more surprises.
