No info on late busses

Bus is so far 40 minutes late. There is no information on when it finally arrives, no comfortable seatings to wait - nothing, just ‘unbestimmt später’. Terrible experience. Never again, FlixBus.

Avoid booking FlixBus - not reliable and scam!

Another, less comfortable bus (narrow seat spaces, bed smell, no ac) arrived instead of the regular FlixBus; the seats we chose weren’t given to us in a printed boarding pass! The ticket cost was ridiculously expensive too. Human Indian support agents just exit the chat while I’m still typing my response. They especially like to scam rides to/from Ukraine, not so often incidents happen within European trips. Book another carrier, if you want to avoid such frustrating surprises.

NEVER AGAIN!!

NEVER AGAIN!!! Bought tickects Vilnius - Warsaw (round trip). We had a work travel, our bus was at 9AM - as we calculated, it should be a perfect timing to come before work event in the evening. We were at the bus stop 15 min early. The bus didn't arrive at 9AM, but we still waited. Waited for more than an HOUR - no bus, no notification, nothing. Other waiting passengers at the stop all confused and also have no info about the delay. Mind that the bus location in the app was near the border of Poland and Germany! Checked for notifications in the app, SMS, email... nothing. We wrote to the support - they marinated us in the chat for 45 minutes and still we received no info about the bus. We could not just stand and wait, we needed to make it on time, so we took our car. It was additional expense to us. And of course we couldn't take the bus back, because we are now in another country with our own car, so we cancelled the trip back. Wrote to the customer support after all that nonsense - "ahh we are so sorry, but the actually arrived at 10:30AM, so your trip is non-refundable since the bus still arrived". COMPLETE SILENCE and then they say you should have just waited for the bus longer... The app said that the trip is operating on time, but the bus was non-existent. Absolutely horrible experience, we just waisted 140 Euro for the tickets, and wrote countless emails that they VIOLATED THEIR OWN RULES - as it is written in their web , they are obligated to inform their customers about any delays or changes to the trip. Next time I'll choose to go on a freaking bike, than ride with them.

Long Waits and Rude Staff on Multiple Trips

I’ve used FlixBus multiple times across Europe, and of all the trips I’ve taken, only two of the buses were more or less on time. On two occasions, I had to wait almost three hours for my bus, one from Kraków to Prague and another from Prague to Berlin. I was lucky enough to reschedule and take the next available bus on both occasions. This was fortunate because buses are often fully booked close to departure, leaving little chance to get on an alternative and forcing passengers to wait even longer. The extremely long delays seriously disrupted my carefully planned itinerary, even though I had left plenty of buffer time for possible disruptions. The customer experience with staff has mostly been poor. I’ve had several rude personal interactions. On a trip from Plitvice to Zagreb (Bus CHR933), a person affiliated with FlixBus responded to an admittedly unclear question of mine with “wtf” and had an unfriendly tone. I have a screenshot of the conversation, including the telephone number of the person, which matches the number listed on the FlixBus website, so I have proof they are affiliated with the company. On one trip from Ružomberok to Kraków (Route N976, departed approximately 11:08 instead of the scheduled 10:30), my assigned seat was taken by another passenger, so I moved. While talking to another passenger, the driver turned around and yelled at me to go back to my seat, even though it was occupied. I ended up in a seat without a power outlet, leaving my phone without charge. On another occasion, a staff member refused to let me board my original bus, scheduled to depart at 14:45, which arrived roughly three hours later after I had rescheduled. Both the original and rescheduled buses were line 060. I then had to wait for my rescheduled bus, which arrived at 17:20, 35 minutes later than scheduled and later than my original bus. This was frustrating because I had already been waiting nearly three hours in the sun at the designated FlixBus area in Prague. Since there were no updates on the app or website about the bus’s location, I could not risk leaving to get food or use the restroom. My new bus was only a few minutes later, but the driver still refused to let me board my original bus, which could have allowed me to reach my destination earlier. I was also told by a staff member that, since I am in the Czech Republic, I should learn to speak Czech.Definitely more affordable than most of the trains/flights, but be prepared for long delays.

The driver was rude and obnoxious and…

The driver was rude and obnoxious and treated the passengers like cattle. I took the 8:20 bus from Gatwick South to Cardiff. The driver had no empathy and no concept of customer service. I will never use this company again not even if they’re free.

Deeply disappinted- Lost Bag, No Help, and No Compassion from FlixBus

I’m writing this review after more than a month of trying to get help from FlixBus following my trip on August 4th from Rochester to New York City (31st St & 8th Ave stop). My bag was lost during that trip — it never came off the bus when we arrived in NYC.Since then, I’ve repeatedly contacted FlixBus Support, but their replies have been standardized, robotic responses with no empathy or effort to actually help. Every time you reach out to their customer care line, it feels like nobody truly cares about your situation — they just tell you to fill out a form, and after waiting two weeks, you receive the same generic message saying your bag wasn’t found. That’s not fair to customers who trusted this company with their belongings. My bag contained important personal items worth around $1,800, including a new suitcase and things I had collected over the years — memories that cannot be replaced. Losing it caused me a lot of emotional distress. I was crying at the bus stop, feeling completely helpless, because everything important to me was in that bag. When I went to the FlixBus stop at 31st & 8th Avenue, the staff were rude and dismissive. Instead of helping, they asked me to leave immediately, and one person even shoved me away when I tried to explain my situation. I expected basic understanding and compassion, but I was treated with indifference and disrespect.FlixBus needs to understand that these aren’t just “bags” — they hold people’s memories, personal items, and valuables that take years to collect. The lack of accountability and safety for passengers’ belongings is unacceptable. As humans, we deserve compassion and responsibility from the companies we trust with our travel.I truly hope FlixBus reconsiders how they handle lost baggage and begins treating their customers with genuine empathy and care. I’m happy to provide a detailed list of everything I lost if someone from the team actually takes the time to look into my case seriously.

Not recommended!

On an 8+ hour trip they stopped after 4 hours for a quick bathroom break. (The bus was advertised to have a restroom on board but did not.) The bus left after only five minutes with fellow passengers yelling at them to wait. The driver drove off laughing with our luggage still onboard! New bus ticket purchases were required to get to our destination but no refunds were permitted. Customer service was terrible.

Terrible experience and zero responsibility

I was traveling from Milan to Chamonix with FlixBus and had my bicycle registered and paid for in the bike rack, under their responsibility. When I arrived at my destination, my bike was gone: it was stolen during the trip.FlixBus’s response was shocking: “we are not responsible for lost or stolen luggage.” In other words, they accept your bike, charge you to transport it, but if it disappears, they wash their hands. This is total abuse and negligence. A serious transport service should guarantee the safety of the luggage it receives and charges to transport, especially when the passenger has no way of monitoring it during the trip.FlixBus showed a complete lack of responsibility and respect for its customers: no compensation, no support, no solutions. If you travel with anything valuable (bicycle, luggage, instruments, etc.), DO NOT use FlixBus. You are completely unprotected.

Expect low quality at times

You MAY get even less than what you pay for. My driver was abusive, agressive and unprofessional in so many ways. The customer service is a joke. I notified them of this behaviour and never heard back. So... they support this behaviour ??The trip before was not an issue at all, so it's clearly not all the time. However these need action, not silence.

Terrible

Terrible! My suitcase was stolen on the way to Paris to Bruges today (30th July 2025). The driver has put it in the hold at the beginning of the trip with the other suitcases so I (innocently) assumed it would be OK. But when I got to Bruges, my suitcase wasn't there. The driver told me it wasn't their responsibility and that I should have got off at every stop to check nobody was stealing my case. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
