Review Time
I booked a return trip from Prague to Dresden. On my return journey, when I arrived at the bus stop, my trip was not showing on the departure board. However, the FlixBus app continued to display it as “on time.” I waited until nearly midnight — by then it was already more than two hours overdue. At that point, all FlixBus offices were closed, so I could not speak to anyone. I was left with no choice but to pay for a hotel, purely because of FlixBus’s miscommunication and system failure.I kept calm and contacted FlixBus afterwards, requesting compensation for my hotel stay and alternative travel back to Prague. I have proof to support my claim — including my hotel booking and screenshots showing the app status — but I did not submit it at the time, trusting that the situation was clear from their own records. After several email exchanges, my request was rejected, and I was offered only a refund for the single missed trip.I feel I was treated unfairly and left stranded in a foreign country, with no communication or support from FlixBus. This is unacceptable. The company showed no concern for the distress and inconvenience I experienced, and I had to bear additional costs entirely due to their mistake. My plans for the following day had to be cancelled as a result. In the end, I received nothing more than my bus fare refund — far from adequate given the circumstances.11th Aug - in response to your reply: Not until you have compensated me for the costs I incurred due to your mistakes. Take responsibility for your actions, rather than offering empty apologies.
My wife and I were in Germany visiting my daughter and her family. As our return flight was from Berlin required transport from Dresden. As there were no trains on that line, thought to try a bus. Was surprised that the cost was so reasonable. On the day, the bus was schedule, clean and the driving very good. The drop-off point was right in front of the terminal as well as the hotel we had booked for the overnight stay prior to departure. This was our first long distance travel by bus in Germany. Very happy with FlixBus and will use them again.
I’m extremely disappointed with how FlixBus handled my refund request. My trip under Booking number 3265880080 was cancelled by me in advance according to the company’s refund policy. Instead of giving me a choice between a cash refund and a voucher, FlixBus automatically issued a voucher, without my consent. This is a clear violation of Regulation (EU) No. 181/2011, which guarantees passengers the right to a monetary refund via the original payment method, not just a voucher, unless the customer expressly agrees to it.I submitted a support request asking for a refund to my original payment method, but received no solution — just a pre-written answer.I now officially demand: 1. A full monetary refund (not a voucher) to the original payment method; 2. A written confirmation that FlixBus will follow EU regulations in the future. If I do not receive a proper response within 7 days, I will escalate this case to: • ECC-Net (European Consumer Centres Network); • German Federal Office of Justice (BfJ); • Media outlets and online platforms that collect evidence of unlawful corporate practices.I strongly advise other passengers to check their rights under EU law before accepting a voucher by default.
Bus cancelled 1 1/2 hours before departure, advised by email but not able to access emails so stayed waiting for bus along with other passengers. Stuck in bus station with no support from any flix staff and no onward bus. Bus on route to destination was 20 mins late in leaving. Cheap but unreliable and no support from staff if cancelled and not sufficient infrastructure to put on alternative bus. The bus fare refund does not make up for the stress and inconvenience.
They have the worst and cruel drivers. One of the coach driver hit passenger side of my car while changing the lane on M4 east, London bound pass jct 3 on Sunday 27/07/2025 and try to flee from the incident but other motorists made him to stop by slowing down there cars in front of him, and called the police
This is the worst bus ever. The bus to London was over 1 hour 30 minutes late with no prior communication about the bus being late. We were left stranded at the bus station. This is the last time I am ever booking FlixBus again! You are not reliable!! The least you could have done is notify us that the bus will be late!!!!!! Let us know on Time!!!!!!!!!!!
On July 27, 2025, - 01:45 am at Cologne Bonn Airport, I was subjected to serious verbal abuse, threats, and discrimination by two FlixBus employees, despite holding a valid and fully paid ticket for the bus from Cologne to Paris. I was traveling with my girlfriend, and what was supposed to be a normal trip turned into an extremely disturbing and unsafe experience. The bus was parked in a different area than expected — not in the designated FlixBus spot, which caused confusion. My girlfriend and I were among the first to approach the bus, and there were still passengers getting off at that moment. One passenger couldn’t find his luggage, and I witnessed the female FlixBus staff member speaking to him in a very rude, cold, and hostile tone.Once the missing luggage was found and I stepped forward to place my bag, the staff member started yelling at me in German. I calmly said, “English?” and she shouted louder: “TICKET! TICKET!!!” in an aggressive tone. I replied firmly but respectfully:“Don’t scream. Just do your job.”Instead of acting professionally, she switched to Romanian and began insulting me with inappropriate and offensive words, believing I wouldn’t understand. I told her — in Romanian — that I understood every word she was saying and she should be careful with her language. At that point, she went to a male FlixBus employee and said in Romanian: “He understands Romanian. Do not let him on the bus no matter what.”That male employee then stepped toward me aggressively, blocked my path and said: “Do you know what I can do to you? Take one more step onto that bus and see what happens.”I was shocked and I was being threatened, denied service, and clearly targeted. This was not only unjust, it was discriminatory and unsafe. I had done nothing wrong, I had a valid ticket, and I remained calm throughout. They then let the bus drive away before police could arrive — a clear attempt to avoid accountability. This Was More Than Bad Service. It Was: • Verbal and ethnic harassment • Threats of violence • Denial of paid service • Abuse of power • Violation of EU passenger rights and dignity I Demand: 1. Full apology from FlixBus 2. Complete refund for my ticket 3. Compensation for emotional distress and financial losses 4. Immediate investigation and disciplinary action against both employees involvedThis happened in Germany — a country that upholds equality, safety, and respect. Yet I was treated like an intruder for simply knowing a language and standing my ground. I will not let this go ignored. I will file complaints to relevant authorities and publish this experience until I get justice.
The reviews dont lie . . . we booked this from one country to another. We were instructed to arrive 30 minutes early but since the driver was 10 minutes late . . . we were anxious, cold and wet from the rain. When he arrives, there is no process to load your luggage and the driver is grumpy and doesnt talk. We drove through rainy conditions but every other minute, the bus is driving over the lane separators and from the back I couldnt tell if he was trying to cross over or just swerving. Because of the rain, contruction and an accident, the driver is trying to make up time. We arrive 2.5 hours after posted time. THE WORST PART!!! the driver stops at a rest stop with no instrcution on how long the stop is. All of a sudden the bus is leaving the depot and my panicked husband is begging the driver to wait a minute for him to get his wife and two children. He took off without a headcount and my husband was at the mercy of some passengers to translate. Then, we got off at our destination and the trunk is open and it is free for all to get your luggage.
