If i could give it 0 starts I would. I booked a trip from Belgium to Poland with a transfer in Germany. The first bus was already 40 minutes late in the morning and so of course late to the transfer site. The second bus did not wait for 15 minutes and so i was stuck in Germany. Company policy is that if you're late because of them they will get you on the next possible bus to your destination, on their site it even says they guarantee it. Well they didn't. Got in contact with the customer service, they said they will cover any cost of any transportation. Guess what they didn't because it was more then 50Km?! Didn't get a whole refund because this or that. Not to mention the driver couldn't give any F's. Overall the worst experience ever. No not recommend. Save the money and the stress and don't come anywhere near this company!!!
The toilet on board was locked, we were stopped to fill a tire and a couple people asked for the washroom and said the toilet was locked and the driver yelled “SIT DOWN, NOT MY PROBLEM” and said we wouldn’t be stopping until our destination which was still 2.5 hours away. He said it shouldn’t matter anyway since there’s no food and drinks allowed on the bus (which it says the exact opposite on the website). Go with a different company or if you do dehydrate yourself and don’t expect a bathroom!
When the trains arrive too late outside a specific timescedule, everybody complains and gets parts of his ticketprice in return; when the FLIXBUS ARRIVES TOO LATE (> 1 hour) there is NO COMPENSATION.It should be fair that there is written something about LATE ARRIVALS.
The bus was comfortable, the way was fine. At the beginning of the way I went to the toilet and the pee was everywhere around, not only in the toilet that wasn’t flushed. So I had to put some effort and time to clean it. It felt like a person before me also put some effort to make this mess. After me ONLY the driver went to the toilet twice. Then my mom went there and saw the same picture. We couldn’t believe the driver did it, in his own workplace!
My luggage was stolen from the luggage space of the bus. The bus driver said to contact Flixbus. Their Customer Service is horrible. It seems they outsourced their Customer Service to people that speak poor English. And people who's only role seems to be to finish a call or a chatsession as fast as possible without giving any real assistance or help or next steps for me to take whatsoever. After waiting way too long I only received a confirmation that my luggage was not found (duhh!) and no next steps on how to claim my loss with the company. So please know that Flixbus takes no responsibility for whatever happens in their luggage compartment. Basically you are screwed. And to Flixbus. Please grow up and invest in a proper Customer Service that can communicate with other departments. I guess it is supercheap to outsource it all. But for us customers, it is terrible having to deal with it.Another thing that you also should take into consideration is the delay time in the app. The information is often wrong. I have missed one bus, cause it gave a delay of more then one hour. Also the live location of the bus was still far away. In the end it turned out that the info was wrong, and my bus already left. Even though I was at the station 20 minutes before the real time and 20 minutes before the delayed time. After this experience I have seen delay time in the app more often being wrong, but ofcourse i didn't rely on it no more. I was compensated for my ticket, but not for the way more expensive ticket I needed to buy for the day after.
I payed extra money on some seats and our seats where taken when I told the people sitting there they didn’t care and I ask the bus driver to do something and he didn’t even try to listen to me and didn’t care and he wasn’t helpful and friendly at als even started to act annoyed for just asking him to do something
