What they do must be illegal

They cancel your booking for seat and then increase the price of it just before your trip. When you want to cancel your trip of course you pay a fine for it! Well done scammer bus!

Abandoned in the road 1000km from the arrival

I took the bus at 10h30 in Fafe portugal in direction bruxelles, where i would have a connection to Eindhoven. The driver did stop in spain for lunch. We were supose to be there 40 mn. Driver only showed up more 1h30 later at atound 15h00. Bus did drive for 8 hours without a single stop, except once to change the drivers. They did let the doors closed, so nobody could get out to move the legs. They stoped at around 23h00 for dinner. 30 mn and we started again the journey. After 3 hours, they stopped to change drivers again. I asked to go outside for 5 mn since i knew i wouldn't had the chance for tge next 4 hours again. Not only they didnt open the doors, but they just ordered me to go seat. I got upset and told them that there was no way that I would stay 7 hours again seating without stretching my legs. They just kept driving. 80 km from Bordeaux, they stopped the bus, woke me up and told me and my girlfriend to abandon the bus. Yes, they kicked us out. 2h00 in the morning, in a pompstation in the highway, without any possibility to reach train or bus station in the neighbourhood. I managed to get back home in Eindhoven, with a lot of money spent in taxis, trains and buses. Total disrespect. I did travel several times with flixbus, and never had nothing against them. I supose I was unlucky to encounter those 2 drivers that have no idea how to represent the company they work for. Customer service did nothing to help solve the situation.

FlixBus is quite not bad company!

Till this my last trip, I haven’t used FlixBus. Before using it, I read reviews and found that statistically there are about 50% very bad reviews, and only 10% good ones.Even taking into account very well known psychological effect that people with bad experience tend to leave their review more frequently, this was too much.After traveling now with in total 5 FlixBus routes within my last trip, I must say this disbalance is not justified, the company is not that bad.So, the purpose of this my review is to correct the situation a bit, to try giving objective review and simply to share my current vision and impression about FlixBus service.So, I travelled now 5 routes in the end of July – beginning of August 2023. The routes were:Rotterdam – LionLion – ChamonixChamonix – GeneveGeneve – ParisParis – RotterdamWhat can I say? First positives, then negatives, and then my conclusion.Positives: The buses start and finish on time, unless there are circumstances that are beyond their control. For example, the bus arrived to Geneva late, because there was a traffic jam in the tunnel on Italian side from where it started. The bus back to Rotterdam started later, as there was a mess with one of the passengers, that had a problem with his ticket. In principle, the timing is OK.The drivers are quite polite, sometimes more, sometimes less, but not harsh or rude, and always try to help passengersThe toilets, where applicable, were OK. In the bus back to Rotterdam, there was indeed a problem with the toilet, and the driver tried to fix it himself. This was also partly a reason why the bus started later. Finally, this succeeded, so there was no problem with the toilet anymore. But in any case drivers stop from time to time at some places, like fuel stations, where there are toilets and also small shops to buy food and drinks.The app works fine, shows the progress of the trip and updates (besides something which is described in Negatives)The drivers do not check the weight and the dimensions of your luggage, except one case (see Negatives)Negatives:On the bus from Geneva to Paris, which starts in Italy, the driver noticed that my hand bag is too big. Well, I came to Chamonix to climb Montblanc, and the day after the ascent and the descent I had a lot of wet things including my mountain shoes. These shoes are quite large, and before that I was just wearing them in the bus, but this time I placed it in my main baggage, so they occupied a lot of place and therefore my hand rukzak (back bag) became also big.Here, I must say that I did pay for additional, special baggage when purchasing the ticket. However, in the ticket in the app I could not find it.But anyway, the problem was that the driver did not speak any other language besides Italian, which I do not speak. So, it was not possible to explain him anything.I first thought that he means that the second bag should be also stored inside the bus and not taken to bus salon, so I removed most necessary things from my hand bag to a small packet and tried to enter the bus, but he did not give me to do so.Finally, somehow I understood that I need to pay. When I expressed my readiness to pay, the problem was solved. It was just 10 Euros in cash.But here I would like to emphasize that despite the problem appeared indeed, it was possible to solve it on spot and this I find as most important.Another thing – the last bus to Paris, which departed late, also arrived late (of course), but also the total travel duration was longer, 9 hours vs 8 expected. Of course, here I also can mention that before the trip there were cancellations of buses and I needed to rebook, and sometimes what I got was less convenient, but this is another story not related to the travel process itself.Conclusion:In principle, FlixBus is quite good company, that gives you more or less what you can expect from them, so I would recommend to use it, at the bottom line.Another thing is that it is quite tiring and exhausting, of course. Travelling 8-9 hours between Paris and Rotterdam seems to me too much. You spend a lot of time on it and arrive tired. But this is not a problem of the bus itself. And yes, it is much cheaper than trains.Thank you all for reading and your attention.

Flixbus leaves 10 minutes early

Excitement about holiday got killed real quick when my flixbus left 16:04 instead of 16:15. Would have appreciated a heads up that the bus can leave earlier than its scheduled depart time.

The drivers are very rude 😒 I traveld with my kids from London to rotterdam and back and the drivers from Poland are so rude not friendly especially when you travel with kids they expect that they sit the whole journey quite 😑 😒 and talk with people without manners

Criminals

Our tickets got deleted by Flixbus 2 days before leaving. The only thing we received was a little voucher which paid only 10% of our tickets back. Flixbus has 0 customer service, and they do not care about their customers AT ALL. Stay away from those criminals if possible!

Worst drivers ever...

This company has the most unprofessional and rude drivers. Everything comes with a price indeed. The ticket is cheap, but a lot of the buses are smelly, the drivers are very impatient and even rude.

I supose this is one of those companies…

I supose this is one of those companies you want to give a chance despite having heard all the negativity around them.And sure enough, buying a ticket is working well, hance the 1 star but everything else that follows is a nightmare for any consumer.First the drivers are often disrespectful in their way of handling customers and it does not make it easier when they baerly speak English and can communicate well in it. As an example they don't even open up all luggage compartments and help the customers see where theres any space; I don't expect them to do more but just a simple help since I'm not a bussdriver would be nice!Second their customer support mostly outsourced to low-paying companies outside of the EU shows. It simply shows they have customer support but theres no real intent in actually solving the problem; just picking up the phone on the other side and comply with the most basic of "customer support".After these several encounters I'll look up companies much more and only go with the ones who actually do care about their customers.

I bought tickets from marco polo…

I bought tickets from marco polo airport to mestre ..one lady at stop said go to other stop..after hour one flix driver said wait here..after hour another flix driver said go to other bus stop..after another hour no flix bus in 3 hours ..even in airport information didnt know where is flix bus stop..no signs flix bus nothing..I wabted refund cos I bought alternative tickets from italian company..I wrote flixbus with reservation number they replied send us your information..even they had it already in system with our reservation number..so I sent them again and they replied about another trip in croatia where we havent been ..terible..just they dont wanna give any money back even if its their fault..and if we were asking another flixbus drivers (italians) they replied arogant with onr to words and continuing smoking ..dont travel with flix bus please..its just big masinary fo making money !! they dont care ..from 2 days at venice half day headache from flixbus that from 3 buses didnt schowed up even one!!!

Awful drivers

I recently had a very long overnight trip with flix, the two drivers couldn't speak any of the languages of the countries the bus would go through (and not even english). It was an overnight trip so I planned to get some sleep and I had paid extra to get the seats at the front for extra legroom. During the night the drivers would listen to music loudly and whistle, making it very difficult to sleep. At some point I did manage to sleep but one of the drivers woke me up by kicking me on the leg. The whole trip felt I was being punished for having paid extra for that seat, as the drivers kept nagging me but left everyone else alone. I think they wanted to keep those seats for themselves.
