Review Time
This review is in reference to tracking number LW672494.I ordered a whisky Advent Calendar from a British company and received notification that it would be delivered on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Later that day I was notified the delivery was rescheduled to the following Monday. However there was a delivery attempt later on Saturday, with a slip from GLS that wasn't filled out with the information of when another attempt would be made. (Because it was alcohol, a person over 21 needs to sign for it). On Monday someone stayed home from work, but nothing was delivered, we finally got the package on Tuesday, requiring another missed day of work. I spoke with GLS four times on Saturday and 3 times on Monday. Every single time the information or the promise that GLS would call me back was completely incorrect. I have to credit them for their consistency! I mean, one has to work very, very hard to obtain a 1.3 star rating. By the time the package arrived I was very worried because I had read their reviews. This experience was a good one for me to check the reviews before ordering. I had always gotten my alcohol Advent Calendars from another British company (with a 4.9 star rating) but decided to go with the new one because the calendar was interesting and a little bit different. This British company has a 3 star rating. In the future I will check the reviews first!
Absolute worst shipping experience I’ve ever had!I have a weekly delivery the very first week everything went smoothly. The second week the package was scheduled to arrive by 6pm. at 9 PM I received an email stating that the package was delivered to my front door at 2 PM. (So after business hours so I couldn’t get help right away) I had waited all day with my front door wide open, the package never arrived to me. I understand that things happened. But the customer service that I received after this was absolutely atrocious! I had to bother them over and over and over to get anything out of them. Otherwise they would’ve just ignored me and hoped that I went away… Multiple times I was told my own address “ which is where the package was delivered” no one ever answered any questions that I asked why was there not a photo uploaded? What actually happened to the package since I’m telling you that it did not get delivered to me? Literally, they would have just ignored me if I didn’t keep bothering and bothering them every day! And in fact, in the end, they finally did simply ignore me.I emailed them Friday and Saturday during business hours, but then it was the weekend… And I never heard from them again. I have updated those packages to now come through UPS, but the very last package (the replacement package for the one they never delivered to me) was already scheduled to go out through GLS. So I went ahead and initiated correspondence through chat to hopefully ensure there was no issues… The person literally again! Ignored all of my questions! Literally did not answer one single question that I asked just informed me that I was on the email list and I would be receiving updates… I was already on the email list I was already receiving updates with false information. I sent 4 messages in a row, and then asked if we were still connected before receiving “we haven’t heard from you in a while so we will have to disconnect this chat”I would never ever recommend anyone using this shipping company based on the Patronizing and incompetent customer service.
Phoenix AREA. Ordered a case of toilet paper. GLS was the company they chose to deliver it. When I realized I hadn't received my order, I looked on the shipper info to track my order. All sorts of lying excuses showed up, example: inclement weather, road closed, delivery attempted wrong address, accident on road, etc. They NEVER tried to deliver (I am a shut in), they never called, they sent back my product and I was luckily reimbursed by 'Who Gives A Crap'. They returned all my purchase price and used a different shipper for my new order. I've never seen a GLS truck, I'm pretty sure they don't exist. A unicorn for sure.
Like at this point, I’m like let’s just blame it on your language barrier. Like the whole story in short common sense it’s not so common anymore. These people are waste of time in a joke. I don’t understand why anybody would trust was something as important as auto parts.
I was not home when GLS-US tried to deliver a package that required a signature. Within 9 minutes of getting a notification from them, I rescheduled via their link and I stayed home all day waiting on scheduled day with no delivery attempted. I contacted them via chat since I didn't find a phone number for customer service support and was told that it would be delivered that day. Again I stayed home all waiting and no delivery attempt. I again contacted them via chat and was told it was scheduled for delivery on August 15th (2 days away) and then was told later in the chat it was scheduled for the 18th. I have no faith it will be ever be attempted again. I will not be in town on the 18th and asked for a phone call from a person and not Ai. I was told that I would be getting a call right away and that was several hours ago. USPS has no business contracting with such an unreliable company just because they don't want to take the time to walk up to the door and get a signature. I can't even file a claim for the package because GLS-US still shows pending delivery. I can't get them to resolve the issue and I will have to end up disputing the charge with my bank and the hassles of doing that.
Got back from shopping yesterday, could not talk to anyone until today . Called this morning, CSR informed me that my order did not exist.I told them I had a door tag. They asked for the tracking number it did not exist. I asked them to input my name and address it then popped up. 15 minutes later, they told me it would be delivered today. Today it showed up Finally so I can say this wasn't too bad for now.
