Review Time
Both of our local Greene King pubs are drastically reducing the hours they open their wacky warehouse play areas. Tot time (which runs during term-time for 0-5 age children) is now only available 12-3 pm. Anyone who looks after a 0-5 year old will know that those who sleep mainly do it after lunch, meaning Tot time is now only available at the time when most tots are not. Poor planning, and does not really match the image being presented of a community minded, family friendly company. I visited most weeks with my childminded children, but will certainly not be visiting any more.
I went to the nag head in Thornton they looked like short of staff for a Sunday afternoon 2 behind the bar and 1 waiter a guy called James he was very nice and polite guy but I think it was to much for 1 waiter, top marks James
As ever the food and service were very good. The atmosphere was very friendly, as it always is when Kathy is on duty. Lola had just joined the Barley Mow and she very pleasant and attentive despite still learning the ropes. Kathy was teaching her all the necessary skills. We re-booked to go with our group again.
Go to the cotton wheel in Aylesbury maybe once a week to be fair it’s not bad on food and price. But OMG went there tonight for dinner and their new menu is amazing I had a katsu feast and I usually don’t eat all my dinner but I polished that off. Service was great always friendly with a smile. Big shout out to the assistant manager Dwayne goes above and beyond a real gent can always have a laugh.Would also like to mention the waitress Kelsey she is always amazing and works really hard well work employee of the week.
i have been using the Ship Inn Cobham for many years and booked a table on friday 17 th october 19.15 ,on arrival there was only two staff the manager and the under manager no other staff , a full house whilst awaiting for 15 mins for a drink because no one to see us to the table,we sat down and ordered 4 meals after 45 mins the food arrivered cold ecept one meal ,i did complain and excepted a 2 meal discount ,i do hope that my local pub goes down hill again as it has done many times in the past ,dissapointed with Green King for letting a loveley country pub going back to bad reviews.regards Colin Tuffield.
