I ordered a white short sleeved hoodie…

I ordered a white short sleeved hoodie shirt and ordered it one size larger than my typical size - even though description said boxy and drapey fit - it was way too small. Item also had a defect with a black stain on front. Had numerous exchanges with customer service (the only way to return an item) had to send and resend several pictures - and was told that they needed fulfillment to review things before processing further - I demanded a refund and instructions how to return the item - several times.I told them they were giving me the run around and its not on me to wait for them to figure out what happened to damage the shirt - that I will return it and they can figure it out on their time, Return policy on their website says free returns within 30 days no restocking fees and says nothing else.I have had to dispute this charge on my credit card (I have never had to do that ever before). Clearly they do not want to refund you the money and have you return the item - its been over a week since my request. Its a complete sham - and this over a $40 shirt? I would never ever buy from this retailer again.

Complete scam…they claim North American…

Complete scam…they claim North American company and then the product comes in cheap material directly from China. Clothes were total junk. They charge the Buyer $400 to return back to China. So you have to eat the cost. Do not buy from these scam artists.

Scam

Scam. Typical Chinese fraud, where they allege the product has been delivered when it wasn't. Their variation is to deliver one item and claim several were delivered. Also, don't be fooled, they say they're an American company but they are drop-shipping from China. Products are also cheaply made. Save your money, they totally ripped me off.

Absolute scam

Absolute scam. Do not order from them. I waited 4 weeks for my order and then it said delivered. However it wasn’t even delivered in my county! I contacted them as I also paid extra for insurance to cover loss and theft. We have been back and forth emailing for over a week. They reply one email a day at about 4am. This is the latest email I have sent. This is getting ridiculous. I took out insurance with yourselves to cover loss and theft. I no longer feel like being patient you are completely messing me around and treating me like a fool. Refund me my money!As I have told you at least 4 times already, the postal firm will not talk to me, as I am not their customer, you are!! I am your customer it is upto you to contact them yourself. I paid for insurance!! My parcel has not arrived. Tracking does not show delivery to my address. You have stolen from me. You owe me the money for my hoody and my postage. This company is quite obviously a scam you are stealing peoples money. You should be ashamed of yourselves.Issue my refund, give me back the money you have stolen from me. This is utterly disgusting.Please do not reply to me with another insulting generic email, telling me how sorry you are and how much you understand and appreciate my patience. It is insulting and patronising. I am not being patient, I am angry. You have stolen from me! Do the right thing and give me my money back. Please save your money. Do not buy anything from this website. Check Amazon most of the items are on their for half price and you will be protected by Amazon.

I recently had an experience with Harbor & Thorne’s customer service that was quite disappointing. After ordering an item that unfortunately did not fit, I reached out for a return. I was informed that return shipping costs must be covered by the customer unless the item is defective or damaged.In today’s retail environment, where many leading brands offer free or prepaid returns to prioritize customer satisfaction, this policy feels outdated and customer-unfriendly. It places an additional burden on the buyer, especially when purchasing online where sizing can easily vary.While the responses I received were polite, the overall handling of the situation showed little flexibility or commitment to creating a positive customer experience. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would hesitate to shop with Harbor & Thorne again and would advise potential customers to be cautious, particularly if there is any uncertainty about sizing or product expectations.I hope the company reconsiders its return policies in the future to better meet modern customer service standards.

Deceptive sizing, no transparency, and no real customer support

I ordered clothing from Harbor & Thorne’s website and confirmed sizing beforehand via email. I was told that size “S” corresponds to a 28–30 inch waist. Instead, I received a size “L” with no warning or explanation until after delivery.The support agent then changed their explanation multiple times—from “we auto-adjust to U.S. sizing” to “we use EU sizing”—none of which were disclosed before purchase.They refused to send the correct size unless I paid return shipping upfront. Their refund policy says returns are free for incorrect or defective items, which this clearly was. They also tried to settle the matter with store credit.Worse, they don't even list a company address publicly. The return address they gave belongs to a different company, DND Imports LLC, with no signage for Harbor & Thorne at the physical location.I have filed reports with the FTC, BBB, and the California Attorney General. I recommend avoiding this brand. Their behavior suggests an intentionally misleading business model.

Ordered a purse

Ordered a purse. It showed up. I couldn’t even fit my phone in the pouch of it. Returned and spent $23 to ship it back. Shocking they never got it. And will only offer me store credit. Which is useless. Don’t buy from them.
