DO NOT book through hoteltonight! If anything goes wrong, they'll tell you don't give refunds in order to keep their prices low. BUT their prices aren't any better than booking through the hotel directly. So there is no benefit in using them. I used them to book a hotel several weeks in advance. My husband had to have emergency surgery and I had to cancel my reservations. I was asked to send personal papers to prove this but was told they don't give refunds in order to keep their prices low. Since I gave at least 24 hours notice, had I booked directly through the hotel, they would have refunded my money. Had I checked the price before I booked through HT, I would have realized the price was the same!
If I could give this place zero stars I would absolutely do that. I had a terrible experience at the hotel that I booked I called them immediately and let them know what was going on. I even left the hotel early because of how bad the hotel was. They work with a lot of crappy hotels. Since this experience I have had no resolution or answers to my problems, I called them every single day regarding the issue and so far they have told me the same thing please be patient sir it’s a process, or they say something along the lines of let me talk to my team support can I call you back? They have never once called me back or giving me any kind of update. I found stains all over my sheets and blankets along with the walls and door frames my hotel was extremely dirty and These are the kind of people that hotel tonight do business with. I do not recommend hotels tonight at all, they are a scam and a rip off. If you were looking to spend money and get a terrible experience this is the place for you.
booked a Saint Pete’s beach hotel through hotels.com. I have only had great experiences through this app. They have not led me wrong. But this hotel I booked in Saint Petersburg was the worst! Outdated and not worth the money or the resort fee. I have talked to Mae with hotels tonight.com on the phone at least four times tonight and she’s being so diligent in advocating for me. I hope to get resolution by tomorrow afternoon. A refund would be great. We checked in at 4:30 and we checked out at 6 PM…. The same day !!! I don’t even know what took me so long to decide to leave after two hours. The add for Sirata Beach resort in Saint Pete’s on the hotelstonight.com has very nice pictures and advertises nice accommodations but in real life it’s terrible. Hotels tonight really let me down. I can’t even believe they would promote such an economy hotel on their website. In the past they have led me to great upscale hotels. Very disappointing this time.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!I booked a 1 night stay in Pensacola FL on June 9th 2021 at a Quality Inn. Cheap rate and I needed a place to sleep on my drive from Florida to California. I pulled up to the hotel and saw that 80% of the rooms were occupied with people that have been misplaced during the pandemic. Rooms had personal belongings overflowing out into the corridors and the parking lot. The hotel looked more like a camp than a hotel. Safety was definitely an issue.It's wonderful that hotels are providing shelter for those in need but before booking a stay, you should be given these facts through the booking company. I tried to contact Hotel Tonight but there was more than a 2hr wait to speak with someone. I ended up driving further to Mobile AL and not using my booking through Hotel Tonight. Upon my return to California I contacted Hotel Tonight and they offered me a $25 voucher to use with them on a future booking. Definitely a joke after I paid them $125 for a service I could not use.Horrible customer service. Horrible business. Greed is all they have. Do yourself a favor and book with another company that will value your loyalty.STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY !!!
While booking a room I noticed that it specifies the room type will be determined by the hotel. I assumed that this simply meant what size bed we would have. Upon checking in at the hotel, we were told our reservation was for a smoking room which is completely unacceptable to us. In order to change to a non-smoking room, I had to pay an additional$22. Never again!
Make no mistake. If you book with this company for many years they will not appreciate it. I am supposed to be a level 3 VIP. Over the years i have had multiple bookings with them. When i had a work trip fall through and yet they had no remorse or help. While i could not help that a trip fell through they still charged me the whole price and made no effort to help. If you want to play Russian roulette with your time and money use them. Otherwise....NEVER AGAIN!!
I reserved a booking through Hotel Tonight with WG Creole Hotel 1850 for $178. The hotel apparently cancelled the booking and emailed Hotel Tonight, but HT never told me and NEVER REFUNDED ME MY MONEY. Now I am stuck trying to find a hotel last minute in New Orleans for New Years Eve!!! A romantic, affordable trip has now jumped from $178 to $400 -- all because Hotel Tonight messed up my booking and then failed to let me know that they had messed up my booking. Oh, did I mention THEY STILL HAVEN'T REFUNDED ME MY MONEY? What an awful site and slow customer service support. They haven't emailed me back from my complaint either. DO NOT USE. STAY AWAY.
