They are letting hotels use them to trap costumers. They would use perfect picture on their website and app but once you booked room, it has nothing to do with the pictures. Absolutely horrible and a Trap. I spend 10 hrs to get help cancellation and they did not helped me. No cancellations or refund. It’s Catfish/ scam. Do not trust the pictures. Zero help or solution.DO NOT USE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY! YOU WONT GET WHAT YOU SAW!
Made a reservation an hour or two before checking into Nashville Super 8 for $153Got there, hotel has policy to give 100 cash at window as a " deposit". Soon was apparent whyRoom had blood on walls and sink full of cigarettes.Went downstairs and guy gave me 100 back after viewing roomSpent over an hour on phone w Hotels Tonight and they finally make a big deal out of they are cancelling w no penalties and $ credited to Hotel Tonight Account and will come off reservation for different hotelDidnt want to argue so booked Hampton in Nashville for $276Was charged on my credit card in full for both reservations, the $153 did not come off 2nd reservation as promised.Now on phone approaching an hour with nice lady who is English challenged arguing they need to refund as I dont want $153 in Hotel Tonight account as will NEVER USE AGAIN
They couldn't pull up reservation. After waiting forever they took us to a room that was torn apart with literal feces stains on the bed. Second room was already occupied. Decided nothing was worth this and left without refund. Hoteltonight says, "no refund"
The locations were great. The problem was the charges Hotel Tonight added to the listed cost. I stayed 3 different times and while the cost was different from the hotel and I understood that as it was reflected in their pre-pricing acknowledgment, the added fees from Hotel tonight had added cost different from each time I stayed at the same Hotel. It is not transparent about the fees nor provided in advance of Hotel Tonight process card
Not accommodating at all. It was bad enough that they wouldn’t offer a refund but they mentioned over the phone that I would be able to receive a credit for the nights that I wasn’t able to stay in the room due to a missed flight.Inflexible and not accommodating!!!!
Hotel tonight is the most inflexible hotel reservation app out there, and in this age of COVID they should be more accommodating . DO NOT USE. I made an error in entering dates and once I booked it the credit card was charged. I immediately emailed them to let them know I made a mistake and to ask to change dates and they totally refused. This was their joke of a reply:I know this was not the way you expected your plans to go. We try our best to give you all the info you need in advance when you book with us and I know you did not intend to book with incorrect dates.I looked into all possibilities for you but we were not able to change your dates dates. All reservations made on HotelTonight are final and non-cancelable; our goal is to always attempt to find the best resolution for our guests whenever situations like yours arise. I hope you understand. As the hotel is still holding this booking for you, I highly encourage you to take advantage of the reservation instead.
BEWARE: When you select 1 star out of the 5 stars, that users choose from for review, it transfers you to a new window. If you aren’t paying attention, it’s easy to miss that the new window has all 5 stars selected. It does that no matter how many stars you select the first time. Most the 5 star reviews are customer complaints. No way those people meant to give them 5 stars.Hotel Tonight use to be great, not sure what happened to them over the last year. Prior to 2021, I was able to get refunds without problems (if there was a mistake with my reservation or the hotel was not as advertised). The app was user friendly until they changed it. Now the app runs more like a hotel search engine…by the time you get to the page to complete your purchase, everything is sold out or they tack on additional exorbitant fees make your reservation more expensive than booking directly with the hotel. AND, they seem to have a bogus up charge if you want to add breakfast…they do this at hotels that I know for a fact offer free breakfast.
