As a new business owner, I will never use TurboTax again. It was easy but then because I filed an NEC and had write offs, I was locked into their premium account... WITHOUT MY CONSENT. I either have to blow off the 3 hours it took me and clear everything and start over or pay the fee that's eating up my return. Never again. How is this even legal. Will never use or recommend again.

I used this for years until last year when I had my first problem and had to call customer service for help and got two back to back ghetto girls with terrible attitudes and got no help at all. This year I had to go to a professional for help with my taxes and somehow lost last years return so I needed to login and get it but it's impossible. I have a new phone and the password wasn't saved on my computer either. I have tried over and over to use the alternate login process and no matter how many times the code gets sent to my new phone number it just says "hmm, that didn't work" and that's it, nothing works. I go to their website so I can contact them for help and they literally don't have a single option to contact them so I am locked out forever. Unprofessional garbage, after years of using this site I will never use it again and apparently won't be using my tax info from last year either.
Today I spent 2 hours on the phone with 3 very rude agents who cut me off repeatedly, wouldn’t listen to me, spoke over me while talking, laughed at my frustration and hung up on me. All of them told me that they couldn’t help because I don’t have “audit defence” but I do and I showed them on my account through screen share. None of them knew what they were doing and they were ALL very hard to understand. I’m never using TurboTax or intuit again after this! Update I called today to submit a complaint. The representative again didn’t know what she was doing and said that my complaint has been filed and that I’ll hear from them when it was complete. I asked when and she said there’s no way to tell. As soon as I was off the 38 minute call with her saying that she was just waiting for the complaint to be updated and to hear from them, just to get off the phone and receive email immediately that my case was closed. No contact with me at all before closing it!!
Well I have been using this product for years but this could be my LAST. BAIT and SWITCH! They said $49 to file. When I completed it and let it wait until April they charged me $79 with NO EXPLANATION. AI said maybe you used other services? like State tax? NO Florida has no state tax. I called an agent and she tranfered me supposedly to a supervisor. The AI voice said do you want to pay for tax help? I said 'NO' and it said GOOD BYE! Goodbye to you TurboTax. I will find a better service next year!
I have used Turbo Tax for several years and each time I am impressed with the ease of this software. Since I was so familiar with Turbo Tax I rushed too much this year and as a result had some issues, but with the help of Raven, I got back on track. Moral: Don't rush. You can trust Turbo Tax!
MOST USER HOSTILE EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD SINCE MY 24x80 TEXT-ONLY COMPUTING OF THE MS-DOS DAYS.TurboTax online is a trap. You will regret the decision to begin the online return. It will permanently lock you into that decision, disabling any hope of changing your mind and choosing the download version.Why would you want to change your mind? Because the online version just sucks in too many ways to even enumerate. If you're brave, or feeling lucky, just try it and find out for yourself.
I purchased the online help for $60. I called repeatedly, each time being told on screen the wait times ranging from 5 min to 23 min. I never received a call back. This happened over a multi day period. The other features of TurboTax seem ok, but I would not suggest this added feature.
I used turbo tax to prepare my 2025 simple tax. I started with the free version but due to interest claimed over $1500 I was upgraded to the next payable version, then again I had to upgrade for another reason. Still simple form. I kept thinking I have gone this far let’s finish.Now I have to pay almost $200 for a simple tax prep. What a rip!
False and incomplete advertising: "TurboTax Free Edition is available only if you have a simple tax return, such as a basic Form 1040 with few additional forms. Eligibility requires that you didn't file with TurboTax last year and must file via the mobile app using the Do It Yourself product by February 28, 2026.and must file via the mobile app using the Do It Yourself product by February 28, 2026." NO MENTION OF NEW USERS IN ADVERTISING AND THEY KNEW I WAS 76 YEARS OLD AND FILING A SIMPLE FORM. STILL I WAS CHARGED $84 TOTAL FOR BOTH FEDERAL AND STATE.
