I made a couple of trips to Joseph James and checked out their website a few times before making a decision to buy. Never felt under any pressure which I really appreciated. Matthew in Stockport was very helpful and knowledgeable. When we came in to see the sofa I'd noticed on website, the whole transaction from then to delivery was excellent. I liked the video you get to show your sofa being checked and wrapped! Also appreciated the flexibility on delivery as we weren't ready to have it until a month later.I was also grateful to Matthew for reassuring me when I called in worried the sofa may not fit through the internal door! I felt the Company were problem solvers.The day of delivery three guys came and got the sofa in without a hitch. Looks amazing.The whole service from browsing to sofa in situ was a great experience. Thank you.
Joseph James was recommended by a close relative so we popped into the Stretford store, we was greeted by Sean who went above and beyond to secure us with a set of sofas we loved. Faultless transaction and very stress free! Today, we took delivery of our new couches after just 4 days. Keith and the delivery team were also very helpful in explaining how to disassemble if needed.Can't recommend enough!! Brilliant.

Great products at great prices - managed to find a matching sofa to one I bought at furniture village at a much better price. Delivered on 27th Dec only a few days after ordering. Moved house and my grand chesterfield didn’t fit so was expecting to have to wait several weeks; however I found this company had exactly what we wanted - well happy 😃

We are not a typical furniture store. In fact, we do virtually everything differently. We receive and process clearance stock from traditional retailers. Retailers send us clearance stock for many reasons. We receive photography samples, end-of-line stock, cancelled orders, customer returns and ex-display pieces. This stock is sorted, quality checked, photographed and uploaded to our website.
As our name suggests, we were founded in 2019 by Joseph and James. After leaving school at 18, they launched the company from a dilapidated basement unit in a Stockport mill with just 5 sofas.
The popularity of their discounted branded sofas and rapid delivery model facilitated strong growth. Joseph and James have always sought to do things differently from the incumbent outlets. This began by being the first furniture outlet to host a website which showed their live stock and was available to be ordered immediately by customers. Joseph and James don't wish to be just another furniture outlet, they want to be the biggest furniture outlet.
