I purchased a lovely arm chair from Joseph james at a discounted price. The transaction went well it was collected from the courier quickly. Unfortunately the courier messed me about with the delivery date 3 times. Pam from Joseph james went above & beyond over the course of 3 days chasing the courier up for me. I am sure if I didn't live the opposite end of the country pam would of delivered it herself thank you pam. If it wasn't for you im sure id still be waiting for this reason i've given a 4 star review not Joseph james fault but the courier. Id suggest not using DX but a trusted company like UPS or Fed Ex
We had an issue with a sofa we bought from the Warrington store. Phoned customer services and spoke to Pam. Pam listened to us regarding the issue and went above and beyond helping us get a replacement. Joseph James is very professional and I highly recommend the efficiency and help we received. Good work
Bought a Sofa Jan 2025 by November the padding in the end was collapsingwas told they didnt bring in warrenty until april so i wasnt entitled to anythingafter arguing they sent a technician out who agreed it shouldnt have done this and he would be back next week (this week) not heard anything so contacted them only to be told the same rubbish again that they are not doing anythingthis was after he didnt show appointment 1 and went to the wrong house appointment 2Under the Sale of Goods legislation an item has to be of good quality and fit for purpose but i expect this is going to be me now going to the small claims court when they could easily just fix itavoid these cowboys and buy from a respectable sofa company with morals who careUPDATE: They have responded to complaint refusing to do anything so totally ignoring the consumer right act 2015 even stated in there own policyFAULTY GOODS – CONSUMERS This clause only applies to you if you are a consumer. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. now speaking to an ADR Solicitor, they would rather go through all this than cover the £160 repairAVOID THESE SCAMMERS
Matthew was extremely helpfully today when we were looking at dining tables. Having found a lovely table at a great price. Matthew went above & beyond to find suitable dining chairs to go with it. Looking forward to having them being delivered next week.
Just popped into the St.Helen’s store. We were greeted by James, who provided us a really friendly service. We purchased what came in for a 2.4m Oak table. Their customer service on WhatsApp (Rob) has also been excellent - good experience so far. Hopefully the table will arrive as seen & in perfect condition next week.

We are not a typical furniture store. In fact, we do virtually everything differently. We receive and process clearance stock from traditional retailers. Retailers send us clearance stock for many reasons. We receive photography samples, end-of-line stock, cancelled orders, customer returns and ex-display pieces. This stock is sorted, quality checked, photographed and uploaded to our website.
