I've worn Keen hiking shoes for work for many years. They always fit perfectly and lasted a year or more with hard daily use.The last few pairs have been junk. Fit is erratic-too large, too small, too narrow, too wide. Inner support collapses in a short time. The bottom sole peels off, including once when the shoes arrived with portions of the sole coming loose.Moving on
My wife bought me a pair of Keen walking Targhee 111 boots from Mastershoe which were delivered on 24/1/2022. She gave them to me towards the end of February as a gift. After wearing perhaps 20 or 30 times they have perished and are no longer waterproof. I contacted the company and sent photos of the boots and told them they had not been waterproof for some months. Mastershoe's response was that because it was outside of the one year warranty there was nothing they could do about it. 3 weeks out of warranty, and I hadn't contacted Mastershoe earlier as I thought they were still in warranty!!! My advice would be to not buy either Keen boots or from Mastershoe in future. It seems that boots made by Keen are only expected to last a year rather than the 2 or 3 I was hoping for.
Keen women’s Targhee 3 mid walking boots bought 28th December 2022 through Amazon UK. Three weeks later the boots began to leak (after a few local dog walks). Amazon couldn’t supply the same boots so I contacted Keen through Amazons link - unfortunately this turned out to be to Keen USA. They supplied the email address for Keen UK, I received an acknowledgement to my email but absolutely nothing since. The telephone number for Keen UK says it is closed. I’ve sent further emails but to no avail.Keen customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. I’ve loved Keen boots over they years but this will be my last pair. Avoid this company at all cost. In my opinion they deserve zero stars!
Have worn keens for well over a decade and never had any problems, even with heavy use they would last at least 24 months. Bought a pair around October of 2022 and with light use the soles separated. Got a new pair under their one year warranty and the exact same thing happened. Why bother anymore.
Look great, very comfortable for wide feet. However the flimsy rubberised (no longer waterproof 😭🤮😱) section between the leather uppers and the sole started to disintegrate recently after less than 100 miles walking on easy terrain. Sadly I didn't notice til they were just outside warranty. What a waste of what would otherwise have been a great product. Bought mine in a reputable hiking shop who should know better than to sell crap. I thought I'd have them for years. Not particularly cheap either. Is it unreasonable to hope that a pair of hiking boots (costing in excess of £100) should last years not months?! They're nothing more than landfill sadly 😱😱.
