I’m unbelievably disappointed in this company. I’ve had 3 pairs of their hiking boots 2 of which I got from warranty claims because the sole of my boots delaminated in weeks. I recently bought a pair of their work boots where I had the same problem and had to make another warranty claim. The company was good enough to give me a voucher for the value of the boots and so i thought I’d pitch in an extra $60 and get a slightly more pricey pair of boots. When I received the boots, it was just before Christmas and was off work by the time I tried the boots on and found they were too small It had been more than 30 days since I ordered them when I contacted the company to return the boots for a larger size they said that I was over the 30 day limit and they were not going to replace them for me and we’re not going to return my $60. I can’t even begin to say how disappointed I am in this company. I will never be buying their product again
My keen hiking boots started falling apart at 11 months. Contacted them but the warranty dept. was closed until March 2023. The material that should be leather is not. I don't know what it is. They went downhill in a hurry. Used to be a great boot.
Shoes arrived and were fine but despite getting a larger size as suggested they were still too small. Posted them back immediately for return however was never refunded. Contacted customer services and had the most unpleasant experience with an extremely rude (& ultimately useless as I am still owed £50) advisor who insulted me, asked for information already in the email trail and didn’t help me. I would never purchase again from this company and have since advised many people not to buy as they are just thieves.
Bought my first pair of Keen work boots aluminum tow San Jose 3 weeks ago. They're supposed to be waterproof. Went to the car wash to wash the car. Got home noticed my feet were wet. Looked at the boot and the rubber around the stitching was peeling apart. Will be taking back. OnePlus is they were comfortable.
I'm shocked after discovering how hated they are now. I have a hard time finding tough shoes with a wide enough toe box and I'm the type of loyal customer that expects consistent quality and will pay for it. I dumped ECCO when they sent their builds to Asia. Its the same story. A story of greed. I thought it was just my ability to destroy footwear, but the last 3 pairs of Targhee's I thought I loved, I glued the delaminating treads on the oldest 2. The third pair, I took back to REI. After having them from only September-Dec, they looked like they had a hard year's use. The material is all stretched out and quite frankly, I think this is what's causing the side of my left foot to have numbness. The insoles are shredded. The treads are peeling. They developed these knots in the fabric that caused pain. They smell worse than usual. Rubbish. I use them for casual office work footwear and walking the dog. Unless they want to send me a free pair to prove they've been returned to their previous quality - I won't buy another. They are now expensive lawnmower shoes. It seems to be the expected pattern of American companies.
This company requires 0 stars. I’ve been a big fan on the keen boots for years until just recently. I’m on my 4th pair in the last 13 months and I wear them until they’re literally falling off my feet. I used to go through 2 a year. Keen Company went down hill in the past year in a half. Looks like I’ll be searching for a new shoe company for hiking boots.
VERY disappointed!Having recently purchased a pair of Targhee 111 hiking boots to wear on off-road dog walks, I was appalled to find substantial deterioration after only a few miles of light off-road usage, with the waterproof materials along the top of the sole breaking up and separating from the boot.Sad when a formally respected brand now supplies inferior products while milking its former (but rapidly fading) reputation. £130.00 wasted!
I have owned 7 pairs of Keen's from Kaci slip-ons to winter boots, to steel-toed work boots. They are all fantastic . . . then I bought a new pair (Kaci III) at the same price point last month. They are complete rubbish. I don't know what happened to this company, but do NOT purchase anything from them; it's all cheap crap now. They were my go-to place to find comfortable, well-made shoes with a wide toe-box. I'm so bummed.
Literally, two pairs of keens fell apart in 3 weeks. My brother and I bought the same pairs at the same time in October. They didn’t last my brother 4 days. Mine lasted about two weeks. Literally the bottoms just came apart. I expected much more from a $140 boot under normal conditions (just normal wear). Sad
