Taxi driver registration LX18 CZR White Toyota, collected my daughter for work this morning. He was abusive and aggressive while driving, shouting idiots to other drivers. It actually scared her being with him in the car by herself. Not happy is an understatement. Avoid this driver at all costs.
The price isnt the price :-(When it says 'fixed fee £24 ' and you arrive at your destination to be told it nearly £29 and that you cant pay by card and need to bank transfer it to the driver...its all very dodgy and far from what was agreed and expected!!!
The driver was delayed for over 20min to arrive even though it was booked several hours in advance. I could not cancel the booking or speak with anyone as my phone was linked to my booking and therefore, my calls were directed to recordings to say how far the driver was to arrive. At arrival, the driver did not apologise but behaved as nothing was wrong. Avoid this taxis, it's a trap. You will just get stressed and eventually, you might need to call for another taxi and might not get your money reimbursed from lynx taxis booking.
Booked by phone a week in advance and got a very reasonable price for the fare. Got a confirmation text for the booking. Received text to say driver was on his way 5 minutes before. Text to say the model of car which arrived on time. Will definitely use Lynx again.
Ordered a Taxi from Reddish Vale farm. The journey was accepted and then declined 5 minutes later. We phoned up and told another would be with us shortly. We were waiting on a road side for the taxi which repeatedly never came. 4 more calls later and a different story each time from the opperaters, telling us where it was and it would be with us in minutes etc which never happened. 45 minutes it took until the taxi finally arrived. 45 minutes we were stood on the road side with 3 young children. Not acceptable. We would have ordered elsewhere shouldbwe have known it would take anywhere near that time.
Just moved to area and asked around who to use, was advised to use this team .. I won’t be .. booked a pick up for 8.50 am got a call at 8.20 am to confirm the taxi and departure time from the airport we were aiming for … needless to say they obviously them arrived 20-25 mins late (as they had a delayed drop off in new mills that had a knock in effect … but why call at 8.20 to confirm and why say ‘they are only 5 mins away when they are clearly 20 mins away ..’ when we called to chase .. just be honest that you messed up your bookings and there is a delay ..
I always pre book my taxi with Links for 10pm when I finish work but regularly see drivers accept my job but then cancel it when they realise that my fayre may only be approximately £6, probably hoping for a better offer. I rung Links numerous times to voice my concerns but to no avail, what is the point of pre booking hours in advance when drivers pick and choose which fares to accept, I've decided to try another firm, I suggest you do the same
AVOID Requested a taxi was told 20 minutes, so booked it. After 35 minutes when it had not arrived I rang them to be told it would be another 45 minutes. When I questioned the operator why I had been told 20 minutes when realistically it was 1 hour 20 the operator hung up. This is not the first time this has happened. Rude unprofessional and unreliable. If I could give minus 5 I would.
