While the lens do block sun and glare, getting a $299 pair of sunglasses fixed is impossible. After only 5 years, the tips of both temple pieces have disintegrated. They no longer have the small ear pieces, so they can’t be repaired. (Why would they not keep these parts in stock? I’m sure we aren’t the only ones.) We were offered a 50% off coupons, but we do not want to pay $150 for a pair of sunglasses that will only last 5 years.
Fantastic service. My sunglasses got broke in transit while going on holiday . Contacted the repair centre on my return to see if they could be fixed . 1 form later and posted via registered post my sunglasses were back within a week . All this for a small fixed service charge .Cannot fault the service from from Maui Jim .Would never buy any other make . Superb sunglasses and supurb customer services 😎
I do not think there is another American company like MJ, offering top quality, numerous styles and top customer service. Not only do they constantly create amazing new styles but they stand behind their product to a degree I have never seen before. Everyone ( and I mean EVERYONE) looking for sunglasses will find a pair which matches her/his needs and style. I have two pairs and I plan on buying another one…
Just wanted to share a great repair experience with Maui Jim, supported by Tony.BI had a pair of sunglasses from 10 years ago, it's badly scratched. I recently discovered Maui have an after sales service to repair lens, after submitting this request, I was assigned Tony whom has been super responsive to helping me throughout the entire process. He has even gone above and beyond to ensure my repair is going to be returned as if they are a brand new pair. Super impressed with the entire process, will be buying more MJ's in the future.
NEVER BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN. I bought a pair of Maui Jim eyeglasses and barely got to use them. I only used them for 1 year. They break. I try to bring them back to my eye doctor to get them fixed. They tell me that Maui Jim DISCONTINUED the glasses and have NO PARTS to repair. I AM PISSED. I paid $400 for these glasses. I also had my prescription updated to them. Now I have to wear glasses that are over 5 years old with my old prescription and my eyesight is now going bad. NOW I HATE MAUI JIM AND I WILL ALWAYS LEAVE BAD REVIEWS EXPLAINING WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. THIS IS AWFUL. NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I AM GOING BACK TO RAYBAN GLASSES AS THEY LAST ME FOR YEARS. MAUI JIM SUCKS AND I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS SOON.
Highly recommend Maui Jim sunglasses. Have been buying them for the last 20 years. Superb build quality and vision in bright sunlight outstanding. Outstanding customer service (prompt, cost) should you need a slight service. Very knowledgeable staff who are always eager to assist with any enquiry.I buy new glasses direct from MJ to ensure they are authentic. First class product and people in Guildford.
Love Maui Jims glasses. My husband had cracked his lens on one of his limited edition glasses, I bought him a new pair it fell off his head at work and cracked the frame and lens. I found out the Maui Jims repairs both lenses and frames and the price to fix is great. Sent both in 2 days later got both back. Just like brand new. Love love maui Jims..
Firstly, Maui Jim UK customer services is superb without question. However; the lenses on the sunglasses aren’t that great. I own lots of pairs of Rayban and Oakley sunglasses and have never had any issues. I bought one pair of Maui Jim sunglasses for my wife, the Kawika blue lense. Within a couple of weeks the lenses had lots of tiny scratches all over them but she had only wore them on two occasions which was strange. We took them to UK customer service as it was fairly local to us and they checked our receipt and changed the lenses without question - fantastic. The only thing we could put it down to was dusty grit in the cleaner cloth maybe, otherwise no clue why they scratched soo easy. I checked my Rayban glasses which I’ve used on hols for years and no scratches anywhere. Seems strange to me but now these Maui’s are sat in drawer never used, she just uses Rayban, far cheaper and you can’t fault the quality of frames and lenses.It’s a shame because I want to give 5 stars here but that would be because of Customer Services and not the quality of the glasses but my wife is gutted about the quality. It’s also worth mentioning the Maui’s have never been out of the UK, so we’re not used on a beach holiday where sand could get the lense, so again, only used a couple of times in the UK whilst driving the car and walking about. Not great and unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend Maui’s or buy them again when compared to Ray’s or Oakley.
