Well.. they are sh!t! I have block drains, and I have poo & everythink coming in my garden. No one come out! My 6 year old boy can't go in his own because of it all!!!!!

Nightmare!

Absolutely useless why the hell would councils give them contracts they never show up! Appointment after appointment! Excuse after excuse! Half my back garden fences missing still waiting after weeks for Mears to actually show up to fix,god knows what kind of job they will do when they do I dread to think!

A big thank you to the plumber who attend my house yesterday for Welwyn Hatfield council sustained a problem getting through by phone but was eventually got through. Plumber who came out was 1st rate

Thank you for a great service from…

Thank you for a great service from Verdit the plumber from Mears who attended to fix two leaking taps . He had to make a trip to a depot to find replacements for the old taps and the job was completed efficiently within an hour.

Terrible subcontractors for repairs

Contacting my HA about multiple issues present with my home. Still waiting for someone from Mears to come and follow up an assessment to structure damage to my exterior house wall. (Shelf of bricks have cracked causing structural concern). Company won't allow me to take photo's to send to them in evidence of my claims. On top of that, haven't had a gas boiler service in over 18 months. Had an appointment for 2 days ago. Removed everything from the airing cupboard so they could access it. No one turned up. Got another boiler service today for 8am to 1pm and still waiting for someone to show up. Doubt anyone will turn up. Why my HA still affiliates themselves with this cowboy company is a massive concern for me.

NEVER let Mears into your home!

Another shoddy and unacceptable job done by Mears. Paving left uneven and loose, broken old paving left behind and cement covering garden, footpath and road. I would NEVER have this outfit in my flat again after employees went through my personal belongings whilst in my flat!

Absolute joke of a company.

Absolute joke of a company. Recently moved into my first home and I need my boiler re-commissioned. I was told to call the company to sort it. First time I called, the lady told me I didn’t need it recommissioned and then put the phone down on me when it turns out I did need it done. Tried calling at work, 30 minutes later they picked up and put the phone back down. Decided to call again, i was waiting for WELL over an hour. Still no answer. I’m not even sure what to do, I’ve got no hot water and these useless jobsworths can’t do their job properly and answer the phone. If I had the time I’d go to head office about it.

The worst building company

The worst building company I have ever known, no respect towards their customers…. We are currently on a new estate that is still being built but their is rubbish always flying into my garden because they don’t clean up after themselves ie crisps/chocolate bar wrappers. I work shifts and they can be so loud at 08:00 in the morning with no common decency towards the people around them. All the builders park wherever they want yet lie about the progress of the houses to customers. No hustle and no sense to do a good job. Would never recommend working with these again,

5* goes to Shamique

My high ranking is for the professionalism of a Mears engineer named (Shamique). From the get go, his mannerism was exceptional. Arrived on the day the appointment was booked, which as in the past been an issue, however, this is the second 5 star review I have given for a Mears engineer. Shamique provided his ID, and informed me of what the possible issue could be regarding the hot water fitting on my bath, as to why the water was trickling. He professionally repaired and, provided evidence that the job was complete and working as it should be. He left no mess for me to clear up after his departure. He is a credit to the company.
