Absolutely awful company. Refurbishing my bathroom (council property). Not once have they told me they are coming not what they are going to do. Nothing done as agreed with boss before they started. They have put in a small bath instead of just putting it against the other wall where a full size one would fit and he said they would. All the bathroom suite has been fitted before they have even painted. The old tilefix is still on the wall and will need to be chipped off. Scratches highly likely will occur. Totally clueless
This ls my third breakdown this year. When l call they say 24 hours l must wait. They then turn up when l am at work..l canot aford to keep having days off and am self employed there fore l miss a day im sacked. At weekends...they have not once turned up.l was without hot water for 3 weeks..l don t know how long l wil be without it this time..They only care about themselves. Why not fix an emergancy at the weekend ?
Having a new kitchen fitted. The contractors have not a clue on how to fit the flooring. It was beyond acceptable second floor attempted. Done to a satisfactory standard. Sink fitted they have left the stop cock leaking for more than two weeks. Still not resolved. Such a lack of communication between site manager and workers. Most workers I have come across English is not their first language. Worker painting has done a below satisfactory job. I myself will need to paint again !! Crack in a cupboard unit which they have tried covering with sealant rather than replace the back panel. They have not respected my home and have not tidied up after them each day. I was told the work would be completed with fifteen days. It has now been five weeks and they have still not resolved and completed the jobs. Moat have offer me this new kitchen. I have now complained to Moat Housing still waiting on a plan of action. They are all useless and no one seems to care. Even though as a tenant I am told to look after their home which they show little care about.
21st Sept Booked Afternoon repair for rotten shower on 7th October. Need to use it in the morning before they come. Yesterday they call at 9am saying they know my appts tomoro but they can come today! Ignored as I had to go out. 2pm yesterday text come saying my repair is booked for 7.10 8am-1pm. Which is morning and I know they will come first thing when I haven't had a shower or eaten. Call the number on text and tell them I booked appt for afternoon and that's when I want it. Spent 12 minutes telling them I don't want calls or visits in the morning. For a Reason!! 8.57am today my phone is ringing, it's Mears. Decline call. They call again asking if they can come this morning 🤔🤔 when I just told you YESTERDAY that I want the AFTERNOON + put it on my account. Woman doesn't know that. Its like they want you to get ANGRY in the morning. Told woman to cancel the whole thing.. its a 4 hour repair and I'm stressed now and tired. They don't care what else u got going on, what health what schedule they just change appts to suit themselves and then wonder why they can't get access 🤔😒🙄
Wouldn't even give this company any stars, Milton Keynes Mears Group are a joke, the director really needs to take a look at the staff they employ. Customer Service agents rude, put phone down on you, take a week to respond to email, do not care about a person that has no heating while the person is ill, managers aren't any better, speak to you like your a child. Heartless and very unprofessional. Milton Keynes Council need to get another company on board
Was happy at tonbridge branch for 17 years Moved to Dartford branch due to loss of contract Dartford branch are awful , just so toxic , unorganised , managers have no clue what there managing ! So bad I left … would recommend not working for Mears as if your on the tools your treated like a bar code ..to many chiefs not enough Indians , how they make money is beyond me ..
Liars.Dont turn up,rebook appointment with excuse emergency came up for another 6 weeks.Still don't turn up.Fourth time now,waiting since February,and now middle of September.Need sacking and getting someone in who wants to do the job.Useless
