Not worth the money

Unless you absolutely need a Microsoft computer to run a certain program stick to chrome os Microsoft has turned more and more greedy since Windows 8 was released. $500 for a computer that will become obsolete in a year,$100 a year for antivirus,$7 a month to use Microsoft office,$7 a month just to have a Microsoft account it's a total money pit. If you don't pay the monthly fee just to have a Microsoft account they delete your account and render half the features on your PC unusable can't even screenshot or store documents. And forget saving anything to the hard drive theve made that impossible. Why pay for all that when for $100 you can have a Chromebook that includes all this for no extra fees? There's a reason nobody uses Microsoft in their homes anymore. I remember when you could buy a windows 98 desktop with antivirus and Microsoft office included standard for $200. Even school districts are ditching Microsoft for chrome os... Not to mention every freaking time you turn on a windows computer it has to update.. it just isn't worth the hassle anymore this company only cares about profits

I've tried to get this resolved for 6+ months without results

In Feb 2024 I began to get email notices of payments having been declined by my bank referencing invoices that began with G0. When I clicked on the link in the email I was taken to my only Office account where there were no references to invoices beginning with G0—only E0.Over the last 6+ months I have opened many cases on this issue. I’ve followed many sets of instructions and have been repeatedly promised calls from escalation teams and billing. Those calls have never happened. The sequence of opening a case, following instructions, not getting straight or consistent answers, promises given and not fulfilled and the case is closed without resolution has been repeated over and over.It took months to find what account those invoices supposedly went to. Then I got a notice that “an” account had been closed per my request. I still have not been told which account that was. Then a few weeks later I got a notice that that was not actually the account that there was another account that those invoices really went to. Pending questions at this point:• Which account was cancelled and what is the reason given in the official records?• Which account were these invoices from and for what product?• When was that account opened and what records of activity on the account are there? The latest story is that before they can give me any more information I have to prove to them that I own “the” account…that would be the account that they claim I have that I have never opened or used. I have over 100 pages of documentation on this set of cases about this one issue. I would be glad to provide any additional information you might need to resolve this.

All AI no real human contact

Issues with Microsoft certification provider Pearson. Pearson Support useless. Ask Microsoft to help across the relevant portals, support contacts and useless bots and obviously not interested in support only deflection. I guess that are all AI with no real human support

Activation problems since W11

Since I updated to W11 personal office account started giving activation errors. I've tried several times to get support, and got it, but they could not fix it. At this very time I am downloading all my one drive memory into a hard disk, never to return to MSF.

Anti-consumer to the rotten core.

I was an early purchaser of Minecraft, buying it about 14 years ago, long before Microsoft had their dirty fingers involved. During the period of playing the game, I migrated my account once, from Minecraft to Mojang, if I recall correctly. Unfortunately, due to life circumstances, I and many other users stopped playing for a time, and now upon returning have found our accounts are no longer accessible to us. We didn't migrate our Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts. We didn't jump through the hoops. As I said, I bought this game from Mojang, not Microsoft. But Microsoft has chosen to lock me out of that account, going back in time to take control of my purchase. This is simply disgusting. Now on top of it, their support is refusing to acknowledge anyone like me. Is $20 a big deal? No. Is the principle? Absolutely. It's a slippery slope, truly, and every time we allow a company to step on consumers like this, it only guarantees it'll get worse.
