Overall, I haven't and don't have any issues with Microsoft. I've used their products regularly for years so I have seen a lot of changes from 2003 to now. I do use their Microsoft 360 Office software at work and unfortunately, the apps are sometimes very slow and very clunky. This has caused many organizations to opt for Google Workspace instead. In addition, many people and clients of mine have complained that they cannot do ANYTHING on Microsoft Word unless they have a subscription which is unfortunate but there's nothing to be done there except switching to a free alternative. I do enjoy using Microsoft Teams as a video/call solution and I do like OneDrive a lot. Thankfully unlike other people, I haven't had subscription billing issues; when I cancel, the subscriptions cancels and no extra, shady charges.
Took my £2.5-£3k laptop - a Surface Book - 512GB i7 16GB with GPU - that was happily brought in 2006/07. A few months ago it just randomly stopped switching on - I took it into the flagship Microsoft Store in the UK, Microsoft Experience Centre,London, 253-259 Regent on 5 July 2023, and was told by the store staff and the manager i) MS do not support this product (their own laptop product), however expensive and the only option was a full replacement at my cost, ii) I am "extremely lucky" the laptop lasted so long as they only tell their customers to expect one year of usage and everything else is a bonus!! What a joke it was. There was no desire to retain me as a customer, try and upgrade me to a newer laptop at a discount or for free given they can't fix my very expensive machine (no attempt to fix either as it is too difficult to open up!). Terrible and will not be trusting nor buying an MS laptop ever again.
Useless Password ResetGot message saying incorrect login.Been round the RESET ACCOUNT tloop 5 times, set new password, tried to login, told password wrong.01-Jul-23MS account management. I find it amazing that you can't restict logins to just your own country. Checking my security tab there has been attempts from USA, Guyana, Kenya. There should be a SIMPLE feature that allows "You are in the UK, block all logins from other locations?" If we enable, then ONLY UK logins would be permitted, not rocket science??
Microsoft produce the worst version of windows ever, this being Windows 11, an operating system designed for taking as much money as possible from it's users.If that is not bad enough, the operating system constantly locks up and forces you to keep unwanted microsoft software. One of the worst purchases I have ever made. If you thought Vista was rubbish, then think again.

The lack of efficiency is evident, causing my businesses to suffer operational disruption.Moreover, it appears that the representatives are working from home, and they seem disinclined to remain committed to resolving the issue. Understandably, remote work has become a norm, but the apparent lack of dedication can't be overlooked when it impedes problem resolution.Furthermore, their one-call solution seems more like a marketing promise than a practical commitment. I've never had a problem resolved in a single interaction, which not only taxes my time but also my patience. It's a marathon I didn't sign up for every time I need assistance.Another critical issue I've found is that once you're assigned a representative, you're stuck with that individual regardless of their availability or expertise. If they're not available, your problem isn't just put on hold; it's left stranded. This system lacks flexibility and often leaves the customer helpless.And to top it all off, there's an unfortunate trend I've noticed: I end up solving most of the problems myself. Just like in today's instance, I find myself in a self-help mode because of the lack of effective support. As a customer, I am left feeling let down and exasperated.In essence, Microsoft 365's customer support seems to have lost sight of their purpose: to help customers in a quick and efficient manner. As a business owner, I can't afford to wait for days for issues to be solved. The constant disruptions and the apparent apathy from their customer support are significantly damaging my trust in their service. Microsoft 365 should address these concerns if they hope to maintain their reputation for being customer-centric.
Microsoft has you by the short hairs with there 365 subscription services. I paid for a subscription and could not get the software to operate I just continued to get a message that the subscription expired even though I paid in full for an annual subscription. There is no customer support any more at Microsoft. They need a competitor.
