Purchased a prepaid sim card from a kiosk in-store for 20Euros. Then a month later get a bill for another 50Euros. After leaving France and the EU I had left the sim card in my phone. Between getting from the airport to home the phone used 3mb of data and was charged another 50Euros for it. I had no idea they were storing my credit card, and that they would then charge me for overseas data, and at such a high rate!! You can't even remove your credit card details from your account without putting another credit card details in. Purpose of a prepaid sim is that's the maximum you can pay!

I had to use FreeMobile "sans engagement", meaning with "no restrictions on time to leave; or end contract anytime". I did with no formalities, In front of an automatic machine i inserted my bank card with some informations about address and email, with no other verifications. I payed 10€ for sim and 10€ for first month, and the machine spit out my Simard. All started when I got over charged. Due to some weird games charges, that I am not aware of.So I tried to restrict undesirables services using FreeMobile platform. Some services for restricting overpayments was available, and some required more expansive monthly plan to function. To reduce costs I tried to change to a cheaper monthly plan, but that was not possible to do for new customers(who used service for less than 3 months), even though changing to more expensive expansive is possible . Then the signal got weaker in a remote area, but not for other phone operators.I decided to end my contract, even if I had to lose the number, so I contacted customer service. They told me, that there is a number to call to finish my contract. I called that number but it did not work in my case. So I got stuck. Customer services recognized the issues, and promised to get back to me when a worker gives a response to the question why the phone number(that supposed to end my contract) did not work in my case. By that time I already am using another operator prepaid number. One month past, and answer shows up. There is a bill for that month. The customer service told me that "unfortunately we did not yet got an answer". And they added, that the service is for technical issues, and that ending the contract would require calling or sending a letter by post, and it should work 8 days after receiving it by post. So I opted for calling the number that did not work, and suddenly it worked. Surprisingly the calling that number was not for ending a contract, but rather for getting a promotion on another, perhaps long term, contract. Upon calling,The employer showed little to none interest on my problem, and kept asking to let her talk about the promotion she is providing to me..Later on she felt sorry about my situation, after I told her that I won't use the service even for free.. and told me that the only option to end the contract (and the ongoing bills) is only by sending a letter. I could not send a letter because the poste office is very far away. Two months gone and finally the line was closed after a lot of warning of unpayed due payments. But still, automatic charges kept going on. But I never left available funds in my debit card long enough to let them succeed in that. So these payments always failed. These will go forever, because I cannot change my payments in their platform, but I can change debut card, which is what I did.If you want to use this service, use non personal information and a disposable virtual debit card, so that you don't get owned. I don't think this service is working legally(not sure..), and I am stunned to the scale this is happening. I am sure though that this is absolutely unethical and an ineffective way to do business.I spoke in french and there was never a misunderstanding..
