bought a $30 prepaid sim card, then was hit with $200 in overage fees at the end of that month. how is that even possible? I thought the whole point was that it's prepaid to a certain amount and it's not possible to go over that? how did they even get my credit card details from the POS machine to retroactively charge me?!absolute scam. In France for three months and assured that cancellation will be just an easy call when we leave. This is simply a corporate lie as others have said. A very complicated call requiring excellent French, a visit to the store - lengthy (deliberate) stalling eventually gets you an address in Paris to cancel by letter only - no email. Deliberately obstructive. Dont touch this company - it will be a great cost if you do! Whether my registered cancellation letter will be actioned, remains to be seen.

Like so many similar cases, FREE refused to cancel the subscription even it had been done legally and exactly as described in their own regulations. Several very long phone calls to Customer Service staff have proven a total waste of time. Hard to believe that the people I talked to are so incompetent; I think they are trained not to solve the problems, on the contrary. It is the worst company and customer service I had to deal with in my entire life, and I am deeply ashamed that it is a French company. Interestingly, the founder of the company is a billionaire, and the main shareholder of the parent company, and his wife is the daughter of the richest man in France. I don't put names so that the comment is not flagged but it is easy to verify. One wonder if the top management is aware of the crooked methods their employees employ. It is also interesting to see how fast they threaten the customers with legal actions. In fact, it is their methods of harassing customers who don't need their service anymore that are illegal. Stay away at all cost.
