Review Time
Last year I bought a large sofa with a chaise fron Next. Within only a few months the chaise cushion was sagging and it is now very uncomfortable. Next have recently replaced the cushion which I haven't put on yet mainly because I'm not convinced it will last. The quality is very poor for a sofa costing £2,200 and I won't buy from them again.
Bought a sofa from Next in August 2024 and by May 2025 had to have a technician out as it was creaking when you sit/move or stand up from the sofa and the cushions were going out of shape. Technician plumped up the cushions and removed the bottom cover to inspect inside the sofa but found there to be no manufacturing fault. The sofa has light use, I live alone. Now in Jan 2026 and the sofa creaks terrible, even when my dog climbs off and on it! I also have the noted garlic/onion smell coming from the sofa mentioned by many others. The smell is so bad I have to leave my living room door open permanently otherwise it’s so strong! Would never recommend anyone purchase a sofa from Next, terribly disappointed and still paying for the sofa.
I’ve bought several items of bronx furniture but the most recent one was the mirrored dressing table. It has had very little use but the veneer has started to peel off. And the veneer is paper thin. The next technician examined it and said it was water damage, which I dispute. Nothing further to add other than to say… don’t buy as cheaply made! I would have added photos if it were possible.
My Nina Campbell Lamont Bracken green sofa arrived this morning. It was delivered two hours late and we were told that the feet were inside the packaging and if there were any problems there is a card and to ring customer support, and within seconds they were gone, leaving us to unbox and remove the packaging. We found the feet were not included, and the cushions dont fit properly. We rang the delivery guys who didnt answer or reply to a message.Rang customer services to be told that the feet would be 7 weeks delivery. We decided to arrange pick up as it is unuseable in its current state. From reading other reviews there seems to be a recurring problem with missing feet. Not a helpful customer service experience or delivery team this time. This sofa was not cheap and we expect better, we have bought from Next before without issues but this time it wasnt great.
Just been served by a lovely young lad really friendly and chatty names Seth , I don’t normally remember names but it’s unusual so I have , he was very young but just like a breath of fresh air.Thank you Seth Next are lucky to have you . Kim
My Frustrating Experience with Next Online ShoppingI recently had a terrible experience with Next when trying to return a jacket I purchased from their online store. In a world where e-commerce is supposed to save time and money, their outdated return system felt like something from 200 years ago.The problem? I simply couldn’t get a return label. I contacted them again and again, wasting so much time just to request something that should be instant. I started trying to return the jacket the day after I received it—well before the return deadline—but despite all my efforts, I still haven’t received the return label.A modern shopping experience should be hassle-free, but Next made it frustrating and time-consuming. If returning an item is this complicated, I won’t be shopping with them again.
I ordered 2 Ashford 2 seater settees and a chair in November 2024. Delivery was scheduled for January 2025. When delivery was due they cancelled the order as there were problems with the material. Rescheduled for early February, cancelled as the supplier couldn't supply the feet. Went into Next ordered same furniture different material. Escalation team became involved. Still no joy. Delivery of the new material was OK at last at the end of February I got my 2 2 seater. No chair as no feet. Cancelled and rescheduled for this week. Just revived an email cancelling as they are having trouble getting the feet. They have had my money since November 2024. No refunds, I have been offered a gesture of goodwill. Not received anything. I await with baited breath.
I have shopped in Next Exeter for years & always thought how lovely the staff are. Until the last couple of years, they are now quite stand offish & was served by someone a couple of weeks ago who was particularly rude. However today I was served in the Exeter Princesshay store by someone lovely named Summer. She was really friendly with a good sense of humour. An absolute credit to the store 🙂
