Review Time
My Nikon Z8 was one of a batch that Nikon issued an advisory about a possible lens mount issue. I contacted Nikon, they arranged for the camera to be collected from my home and it was examined and rectified and back in six days. Fabulous service.
The service was brilliant, and i was kept well informed of progress at every stage. Contact was easy, and the workmanship faultless. The service didn't take forever as i had feared, and the pickup, and delivery back to me top notch. Thanks again Nikon Repair.
Nikon customer service is second to none. My experience relates to their UK warranty and repairs team. I sent my camera and lens for repair and needed it back in time for a wedding several weeks later. I called up to let them know this, and a gentleman called Fraser followed my case all the way through the process, calling me at key milestones, such as payment for the invoice, to help minimise the delay in getting my equipment back in time for when I needed it. I have no doubt that Fraser's colleagues would have done the same, and can wholeheartedly recommend Nikon for their exceptional dedication to the customer experience. I am very happy to use Nikon's amazing products and it's a comfort to know they have such a great and reliablr customer support team working behind the scenes.
I sent a d7200 to Nikon for repair. The quote I received back for repair was about the same price as I paid for the camera. The camera gets shipped to Poland. I declined the quote and was then charged for the labour to provide the quote (in T&C but not highlighted) All in total was £50+ before any repair was started. It’s not worth using this service unless you have a high end camera. I received the camera back and it was repaired and fully operational, this made me suspicious about if my camera really did need a £500 repair. Very odd, poor communication through the process.
When NPS and every UK repair centre were saying my F6 battery chamber couldn't be replaced a couple of individuals in the Nikon team and repairs team rebuilt one from scratch using parts from Japan - absolutely went above and beyond to get my F6 back in service.
Nikon UK have for some unbelievably and stupid reason have sent my Nikon Z9 and Z 70 200 2.8 lens to Poland Which is on the Ukraine border for a simple focus check that could have been done in the UK. The gear was shipped to Poland on the 7/06/23 and as of today 22/06/23 and has still not arrived in Poland.I have spoken to Nikon UK twice this week and they have not a clue where my £8,000 equipment is? I Because of this I believe the equipment has been stolen in transit. Why would they send it to a country bordering with a country in the middle of a terrible war. I will be calling Nikon tomorrow demanding a full refund.
Was thoroughly impressed with the service I received for my Nikon binoculars. Although irreparable (as expected) I was happy that a full inspection had been carried out and the whole process was quick and professional. I was offered a discount for another purchase if required and had my old binoculars returned back to me as I requested. Fraser was a great point of contact and would definitely recommend this service.
