Review Time
I purchased a pair of Low 1 Royals a few months ago. The shoes are extremely stiff and uncomfortable. I've worn them several times, but they just don't seem to get any better. After a night out, I'm always relieved to take them off and give my feet a break.I decided to write a review about this on their website. I immediately received a confirmation email to verify my email address in order to complete my review submission, which I did. However, since the review wasn't posted, I contacted their support team. They replied, "According to our team, it may take up to 30 days for the reviews to be posted on our website."Now, 40 days have passed, and my review still isn't live. Not only do I have very expensive uncomfortable and stiff shoes, it also seems impossible to post a critical review on their website. I highly recommend avoiding this brand at all costs.
Please be warned! Their shoes have a significant design fault! I purchased two pairs of these premium shoes, only to find that after 30 days of casual wear, the seeming on the soles' left and right outer edges were coming apart. Also, there was a very long shipping delay which meant that it took nearly 8 weeks to receive my order. So when I enquired about the faults, they informed me that my warranty had just expired and could only offer me a $15 discount on another pair of $400 shoes. LOL! What a slap in the face.
I purchased two pairs of shoes. They look amazing. They feel horrible though - even after an extensive wear in period, they still pinch around the toes and rub on the heel. They also squeak when walking. Better of buying a pair of vans. More comfortable.
Absolutely terrible customer service. I ordered a chain necklace in December but never received notification it had shipped. I emailed them and they said my shoes would ship in February. I explained that I had ordered a chain. They said that would ship in March. I asked for a refund and they offered different chains. I chose one and they sent a bracelet. I asked again for the chain. Shoot me.
Buyer beware! I purchased a bracelet from this company for $40. They charged me $10 in shipping and almost immediately after I purchased I decided I actually wanted to cancel the order. Customer service was completely unhelpful and they said I could return the bracelet for a $15 shipping/restocking fee. $25 in shipping/restocking on a $40 item is THEFT. Don't buy from this company!
I ordered a pair of shoes in August that were expected to ship in September. I sent multiple emails in October before I was told they they wouldn’t ship until February. They shipped in November and I hated them. They were so stiff and heavy that they couldn’t be walked in. There is no support AT ALL! I immediately shipped them back for a full refund. I was given a gift card. After 3 more emails, I was told that my refund would be processed. 3 emails and 3 months later, I finally received my refund.
Although their customer service is only through email, I found that representatives responded within a reasonable amount of time and tried to help me with the return/exchange process. The shoes are nice. I got them for someone else as a gift and plan to get myself a pair too.
I've read the reviews. I was scared after I ordered my shoes. They were ordered 2/9. Received them 2/14. They are great. When I ordered them I forgot to enter the discount code, $65. Contacted customer service, the next day they refunded me the money. I am very pleased doing business with this Company. Maybe all the poor reviews made them up their game. I have no complaints whatsoever.
What I bought: Oliver Cabell Low 1, White/White, size 11.What I got: A shoe with grey soles, "Margom" soles that are suspiciously missing the trademark stamp. Headaches with the exchange process, and even more headaches with the returns process that is still ongoing.I returned my shoes for a smaller size, and reached out to their infamously terrible customer support and asked what the deal was with the grey soles. "Julie" from Oliver Cabell (OC) assured me they were genuine, and might just be a mistake. No worries, these things happen I guess.Wrong. My exchanged pair also had unbranded grey soles. Angry, I go about the returns process and discover that OC demands a $15 restocking fee for returned merchandise. Absolutely furious, I email customer support again and explain to them I will not be paying anything to OC for the receipt of defective merchandise. "Josh" from OC says that "this isn't the experience they want their customer to have" and that he'll "request that the $15 fee be waived". (Mind you, at no point during the purchase process was this fee mentioned at all. Not even under their "returns" section on the website, which is not only sketchy, but possibly illegal depending on where you live). As of 2/25/23, I've already attempted to return the shoes once, and failed to do so because they (OC) removed the USPS QR code that I was intending on using for the return, and the USPS will not print a paper label for you. Not only that, but the return slip did not reflect having the $15 handling fee removed (despite "Josh" claiming he would have it waived). At best, this is willful negligence. At worst, this is an attempt at fraud (by getting me to return the defective shoes using the return slip that does not have the fee waived, they will keep my $15, and when I go to dispute it with my CC company, OC will throw their hands up and say "Well, HE signed it.")So, I've opted to email them back stating that if they want their defective shoes back, they will have to send me an updated slip reflecting the $15 fee being waived and a new QR code, otherwise I'm just going to assume they're playing games and I'm going to initiate a chargeback. I've read many reviews describing similar situations, and several of them even worse than my own experiences. If you're wanting to order from OC and you're optimistically thinking "Well THAT won't happen to me", I would advise you to assume it will. I regret not trusting other reviewers. Do some reading on Reddit/BBB/TrustPilot about OC, it's almost all terrible.Edit (2/27/2023): I love how in their reply they don't even attempt to explain the defective shoes. And yes "Sundie" I'm well aware that the USPS will graciously accept a package that's been lovingly labeled and taped for them. What I'm referring to is the QR code that expedites the process and makes a consumers life infinitely easier by making the USPS print/label the package for you. Don't misquote me. The shallow attempt to save face is laughable. Your shoes will be in the mail tomorrow, and don't think I didn't photograph them from every angle beforehand. Just in case.
