You know that saying "buy cheap buy twice"!Okay, so I've dropped my phone on more than one occasion and it's really ugly looking, shame because I kind of liked the way it looked and performance is excellent. So, my now battered and ugly phone starts it's journey in the OnePlus repair chain which is an absolute nightmare!!!From a company who claims to be "flag ship" the experience is nothing short of "cow boy"I had to request twice to get my repair started and then to get my delivery instructions was a total saga, this was receiving a form to send my package, it was evident that OnePlus system failed multiples of times and took over 2 weeks after I sent countless emails to get he print off for the delivery partner.I have to say, after this I was nervous in sending my phone to Poland for repair from UK and now I'm feeling it.I received an email to say my phone had been received Oct 27 and the engineers would contact me within 48hrs.Well, imagine my surprise that by 5th November I had heard nothing and my follow up emails have been met with "your service request has been updated" which was another log repeating itself except worded slightly differently to say my phone had been received by the service repair centre on 27th October. This is totally unacceptable. The service levels are beyond disgraceful. OnePlus clearly only focuses on front end sales and the customer experience thereafter is a real frustration. I'm not in the least bit happy that I have to shell out a whopping amount of cash to repair what is admittedly my fault but I've now been deprived of my phone for 2 weeks and still no closer to an answer on when i will see it again.I might add that I can't transfer files to my PC from the T7 pro either! Something wrong the software and no fix I could find would allow me to "fix" this issue, I'm fact once i had to factory reset my phone after trying one of the fixes.Samsung had a new phone to me in days. Think I might just spend the extra cash because I can't spend time chasing up the wearabouts of mail delivery and my phone when this should be done as standard professional practice! Oneplus, you should be ashamed of this unprofessional service level!
HiI purchased Oneplus Nord on 16th Aug 2020 from Amazon for 28K. But exactly after 2 months the display turned Black. Since the device was in warranty, I opted for Pickup service and my phone was picked up by Oneplus Saket Service center. I received a call next morning from the service center person that the display is not covered under the warranty and you will have to pay 8250 to get your display fixed and they started blaming me for physical damage even though there is no physical damage and there was no drop and no pressure applied against the screen(there is no physical damage and I can bet on this).I escalated this issue on 23rd Oct and i was assured that i will get a response back in 48 hours, but since then i have been following up everyday but there is no response from the support team. Everyday I have to take ~30 min out of my busy schedule, just to speak to customer support executives and everyday the same 24 hr call back & escalation story goes on.Had it been a physical damage from my end, I would have straightaway paid the amount instead of wasting my time everyday calling Customer support and writing mails. But, I will never ever take the responsibility for something which I haven't done. Blaming a customer for a manufacturing defect combined with extremely poor customer support is extremely unethical and I wasn't expecting this from Oneplus.Everytime i ask for my device back the customer support representative at the other end stops speaking( Here also I know you will blame me but I have all the call recordings where the customer support person talks normally until I ask for my device back. i have called 4 times on 28th October but same issue with every Customer Support Representative until i ask for my device back).Sometimes I feel like oneplus has shipped me the device for free & I have to beg in front of customer support representatives to get my device back. I am skeptical whether i will get my device back or not. Calling the Saket service center also goes unanswered since no one picks up the call.Request you to kindly ship my device back.Given that there is no response from the oneplus customer support and having wasted enough time contacting the Customer Support, I have also raised a dispute with consumer forum, with 2362742 being the docket number. I have been asled to wait for 15 days before I proceed for a Legal Consumer Court case.Regards,A frustrated Oneplus Customer
Support is a nightmare. Trying to get my device replaced or fixed because I recognized an obvious software error which cannot be solved by resetting to factory settings or updating to newest version, so I think it is based on an hardware problem - I'm in constant contact with support since 3-4 month now. Griffin Blake is the only guy in german support and trying to make it as hard as possible for you as a customer. This was the last time I bought OnePlus. As long as everything is working you'll be fine. But if not you're in huge trouble.I can just recommend anyone to switch to another brand with better customer support.####EDIT (Dec. 2020) after reply of OnePlus: Experience got even worse! If I would be able to give minus stars in this rating I would do it. Someone new from OnePlus contacted me, asked for the exact same things (IMEI etc.) as I already gave them like 5-6 times. Then there was no response for a week and then the final reply: "We understand your issue. We apologies for late response. Hope the process is completed and the issue has been resolved by now." without doing nothing. Really driving me crazy...####EDIT (July 2021) Basically still the same, OnePlus reached out in the same way as they are doing it since 1,5 years - always the same questions, no step forward. I start to think I'm talking to a chatbot. Will never buy again.
Thought I'd buy some One Plus Buds, bad idea. The company does nothing to ensure that your package is delivered, the courier decided not to deliver my package (I work from home), so I am always available to receive packages. I tried contacting the courier, and they just feigned ignorance. When I contacted Oneplus, as far as they were concerned, it was no longer their problem.I asked if they could use a different courier, they said no.I requested a refund, and they told me I could get a refund when I return the package that was NEVER delivered.I do not recommend trusting Oneplus with your hard earned money, as there is no real way to ensure that you will actually recieve what you pay for.
Being a client of OnePlus since the OnePlusOne, I have been particularly happy about their phones since... Until now... I decided to purchase their OP8T and I have to say, I'm very disappointed in the product itself, the aftersales service and the support too are not worth spending your money. It feels like a scam. Especially when you just spent 800€ for that...First, in terms of quality... The quality did not meet at all the reviews of the phone but also my expectations. Second, support. Since I have only problems and issues with this new phone, I've been in contact with the Support staff quite a lot. However, I have to say, the solutions proposed have never yet fixed my issues. I have been having issues, with their OS, with the tempered glass, and now it's with the screen itself...It really feels I've been scammed. My advice until they start really working on their support and product quality, just buy a phone from another phone provider.
Having bought a OnePlus 8 Pro it was vital for me for it to have dash charging. And for some reason my charger stopped charging at "dash" speeds, even after many troubleshooting steps of cleaning ports, charging at different battery levels and reseting the phone completely. I have contacted OnePlus people since I have a warranty, they troubleshooted and concluded that I deserve a new charger. They said "we will inform the team and prioritize your case" and then telling me that a charger will arrive in couple days. I was happy, but a week later nothing so i contact again, a week after that nothing i contact again all in all i contacted them maybe 10 times each time same story "we will send it to you soon". What I was told in the most recent conversation is that the item was out of stock and thats why it took 10 weeks for them to get around to sending it to me. It is on its way now I have a RoyalMail tracking number. I feel like a strong improvement could be done in OnePlus if they just sent people like me an email just so i know what the situation is rather than feeling scamed for 9 weeks straight. All that was needed was "Hey we are sorry but we currently dont have the item in stock, we will send it to you as soon as it arrives." that would make this a 5 star experience in my opinion.
Ever since trading in my IScam (IPhone) for OP, i've never looked back. Specs that blow IScams out of the water, for a lot cheaper, better OS and better support. Be smart, don't buy "known" brands because you're paying for overpriced garbage.
