Horrible experience

Horrible experience! Order of Oneplus 8T placed on 15th of October and has not shipped until now. When I contacted Oneplus they said order cannot be cancelled because they have no cancellation policy! I own the Oneplus 6 and the phone itself is decent but this is simply crazy! How you do not have a cancellation policy!!!I lost my money and these scammers won't ship the phone or refund the amount. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM DIRECTLY.EDIT: Reference to OnePlus's reply, no action was taken at the time of writing (3rd of November, 2020)

Service is horrible blame game to customer

Service is horrible. My 7t is for warranty service that they blame game saying my screen was broken at the repair system in TX. But I have pictures of the phone while being shipped to the repair center which show no screen broken. Now they are saying the is not warranty repair. They have my phone almost 10 day trying to charge me for repairs.DO NOT buy this product from OnePlus they do not stand behind their product.

Customer service in India

Customer service in India has told me for the past week 24-48 hours to do a remote session, I have called everyday since and guess what same thing 24 to 48 hours. Phone was great when I purchased all up to about 10 months and then it started to not work properly. I have been recommending this phone but will stop and will start to share my nightmare of a story to everyone! Dealing with customer service is a complete nightmare and all they do is promise something which is a lie and a waist of time!

Do no buy Oneplus products. Poor service, average quality.

Average product quality and extremely poor service. I ordered Oneplus wireless Z online from Oneplus website. I received faulty product with defect 'microphone not working' and I immediately requested for replacement. To my surprise, status remained unchanged for 3 days. When I contacted on online chat I was told that it will be picked up in 3 days. After 3 days I again contacted through online chat and I was told this time that for accessories I have to go to service center and get it repaired or replaced. Even after telling them that the service center is not accessible to my location and I will have to travel to 100 KM to get it replaced or repaired. Moreover if it is easier to go to physical stores, I would have purchased it from there itself rather than ordering online. After 20 days of filing RMA, they cancelled it. Now I am throwing this product into dust bin and recommending my friends and others here who are reading this review not to go for any product of this company. And who supplies faulty products to customers and put pressure on customers only to take pain and get it replaced.

Just terrible

Dealing with OnePlus customer support is so painful. First they lost the trade-in phone I sent them, then after repeated attempts to chase it they miraculously found it, only to quote me £0 based on damage that didn't exist (I subsequently sold it at twice the price they quoted to a different retailer, who discovered no issues). None of the customer representatives had a clue or read the previous messages. I'd completely given up on them when eventually my phone was returned (with no tracking number and no apology). Won't be buying anything from OnePlus ever again.

Absolutely shocking service

Absolutely shocking service! Have been backwards and forwards nearly two years now - The phone cracked in a weak point within two weeks so returned for a refund and was told I would have to pay for a repair. Eventually after maybe six months or so a refund was agreed to which I have not received to this day despite being told month after month it would arrive in my account. I have provided numerous bank statements to customer services to prove this and now no one will reply or provide an update. Will not be purchasing from OP again having been treated in this manner!

Random resets, known issues, and terrible response times

Like many others I was punished for pre-ordering and got my useless water bottle instead of a decent case and earbuds for the same price. Then, the phone starts randomly resetting every 15 minutes. Support didn't even bother asking any questions, telling me instead to send it back for replacement. Now, to me, that means it's a known issue, or a huge screw-up. Stupid me was thinking that would mean they'd send out a replacement immediately without the need for the full return to be processed. Nope. I have to now wait for my phone to be shipped halfway across the country, go through a three day processing time, and then, I might get a new one. What a joke. My old phone is dead. Now I'm stuck with what is a lifeline for me (use uber to get everywhere) because of their botched phone release and terrible customer service. If I didn't hate samsung's UI so much, I would have bought an s20. At least I'd know it would get to me in a reasonable time.EDIT: I'm not sure what number you need. The only number I got was a service order number : SCE2010211736567EDIT 2: still no help

Unbelievable poor customer service and a sheer lack of common sense.

I've had Oneplus phones since the 3t, but the company has gone downhill in major ways. I was on the fence with upgrading my 5t to the 8t, but simply dealing with their customer service, and advertising practice raised so many red flags that have pushed me away from their phones.OP listed an early purchase special at @ $749.00 USD and this was to come with a $99 mystery gift. Unseen or unlisted, was a bundle for the same price, with new ear buds, and a case. I first got wind that the "$99 mystery gift" was actually just a cheap branded water bottle, because of other complaints on their own forums. My phone was still en-route, and so I called their customer support line in advance, and I told them about the obvious problem, since I could just return the phone, order the new bundle, all at the same price. It seemed like a common sense fix, simply for OP to send out the components of the buds/case bundle instead of having phones getting returned, simply to be ordered again. But wait, it gets better. The OP support told me to wait until I received the new phone, and then call support and ask to speak to a manager if the $99 mystery gift is indeed a cheap water bottle. I did this today, and was told that they will not pursue the obvious practical solution, but that I should take a look, because low and behold, the very $749 bundle has now been removed so I would be unable to even pursue this already highly impractical solution.I think that's the nail in the coffin. No flexibility and no common sense, and a totally misleading and deceptive marketing practice to start the whole thing off.

Non existent customer service

Everything was fine until I had the silliest problem and needed customer support. I chose to email them. You can only email them through their website. They will reply to you, but no matter how complete your request, they will ask you confirmation of the facts in brocken English. It's not like a conversation where you might want to check again... if they're not sure, all they have to do is read the initial email again! The issue is that when you reply, they won't read/receive your email and they will close the case automatically after a couple of weeks of waiting. Then you have to open another case, where they won't know anything about anything prior. I've had an exchange of 89 emails just over basic communication and my case is still not resolved.I needed a silly screen protector and the first time they sent me a single screen protectors in an envelope with absolutely nothing else included. It looked like a joke... How am I supposed to apply it to my phone? I compared this to the many screen protectors available on Amazon, which come with everything you need and more. By the way, the screen protector they sent me, was marked with permanent printed text and a yellow line across it. So I contacted them again and after tens of email exchanges, they sent me exactly there same thing again. So not looking forward to another tennis round of emails, I tried to call them. What a mistake! I have never encountered such unprofessional customer service... no manners, no training, no nothing! This guy with a strong Indian accents, had absolutely no clue about customer service. He might as well have been a cleaner in that office! I asked him to speak with his manager and after holding for a few minutes, he told me that the manager was not available to speak to me. He said that he was going to arrange a callback, but obviously nobody ever called me back. I'm tired of dealing with people who do not understand basic English and who clearly couldn't care less. My case remains unresolved and I cannot even begin to imagine what it would be like to have to send my phone in for a repair. This experience placed a definite mark on my future phone choice. Nowadays an electronic device without support is like a car without fuel... useless!

Oneplus is still the best stock Android user experience this year

Last weekend, I switched from my 1+ 3T to a brand new 1+ 8T. I have to say that I am very pleased by the result. The migration from one phone to another went great. My Xiaomi watch, all my Wifis, all my apps, all my accounts : they were on my new phone.I just had to setup my banking apps and my google authenticator. The quality of the phone itself and the implementation of android is 100% to my taste. Fast, clean, straight to the point.I took the bundle with the wireless buds. They connect easily and one at a time, if I just want to hear phone or music from just one bud.The phone charger is so fast. I dont charge my phone during the night anymore.Oneplus teams did their job so well once again. I got 3 colleagues and 2 friends with 1+ phones. And I will continue to advice that brand to the people I have contact with.
