Review Time
After submerging phone in water official service centre suggested I replace every single part of the phone (600EUR bill, more than I paid for it) instead of replacing only the parts that actually malfunction (4 in total, ~100EUR bill). Clearly OnePlus does not understand the concept of "right to repair" or wants to appear more "repair-friendy" than they really are since I was made clear that they do not do "partial repairs" (even though I am the one paying in this case, so why can't I choose the service I want?) nor will they provide me with the original spare parts.UPD:I've contacted global support as suggested in the response left by OnePlus representative under this review and all they did was repeat the same thing: "we do not do partial repair ... request you to please accept the quote". Thanks, but no thanks. Unfortunately my opinion of the company has not changed - they still prefer wasting the resources rather than offer sensible repair options. My next phone will not be a OnePlus.
So I wrote a review back on Jan here. Regarding false advertising. If you buy a phone you get a Nvidia controller for free with the handset. Well I never got a controller and after weeks of back and forth reasoning debating to get the matter sorted. They gave me a free phone cover and a 50pound voucher to spend in the store. But folks you're gonna love this!! I tried to purchase headphones worth 49 pounds from the store. And I tried to use yes you guessed it the voucher. It didn't work to which really didn't surprise me so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and I spoke to their Abysmal. SCRIPTED CUSTOMER CARE TEAM. And the conversation went like this unfortunately you can't use the voucher because it needs to be higher than the Value of the voucher value.. so there good well gestures after giving absolutely shocking treatment to their customers with their poor service. They still want a customer to pay for a voucher anyway.. absolutely bizzare!!! The marketing strategy for this company is going right down the you know what. But I'm done, trying to be reasonable with this company. They have gave me absolutely nothing but shear disrespect. And their poor incompetent service they still blame the customer and have absolutely no intention to stand up admit when they are doing wrong. I have advice for someone who is thinking about purchasing a phone... Or any tech from this company.. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!! And when this goes live we will get a scripted empathetic automated message saying they will use this to improve their customer care.. Well look at the reviews, has anything changed absolutely not!!! They have definitely lost me as a customer. They could have possibly kept me for future potential buys. But with this treatment they can shove their false advertising, fake promises!!!
I upgraded my #OnePlus 8 with the latest suggested upgrade over two months ago, the wifi calling stopped working, where I live I rely on wifi calling. #OnePlus rolled back the upgrade so wifi calling now works again. Every time I operate my mob it reminds me to install the latest upgrade, I asked #OnePlus if the wifi calling issue has been fixed. I am told install the upgrade if wifi *calling stopped working we will roll the software back again. They appear not to know what's in the upgrade. What a joke @@ I have read your reply, I have already sent a bug report 3 weeks ago. To date no reply.
One of the worst company I have ever seen Name is one plus I gave my phone to service centre and they kept on fooling me and still my device is not repaired I request please don't buy one plus phones if you want peace in life go for a better brand
Extremely disappointed in this company. I have been a happy loyal customer for nearly 7 years. joined during the One Plus 3 era. Bought the 5,6, 7 and the 8T and 8pro. The 8pro recently started having major battery issues. When setting on wireless charger it would not charge, when plugging into normal charger doesn't show that it is charging. The actual battery percentage doesn't move and is inaccurate. Battery drains super fast and sometimes shuts off on its own, once it does shut down it takes a while to turn on again. I used to only have to charge max once a day or 2 days. I'm now charging 2-3 times a day. Ever since the latest update I had these issues. The phone was also dangerously hot to the point you couldn't even hold it in your hand. One day my 3 year old picked up the phone and burned his hand and he was in pain crying. The metal volume and power buttons were even hotter. Never experienced anything like that. I immediately contacted one plus customer service last week about the issue. They told me to factory reset. I did this and the battery issues remained. At this point I lost all my apps, login settings to all my important apps such as banking. I use my phone to access my work network and had to spend my work hours getting a hold of my IT team to reset my logins because of the reset. I contacted one plus again requesting a repair. However in order to send in my repair I would need a loaner phone which they said would cost me 100 dollars. I agreed and explained to them that I am leaving on a trip on Monday Aug 22nd. And that I need to have a working phone for my road trip. It is also crucial that my phone works for my job as it is needed to sign into our work network. That was already a big problem after I reset my phone explained above. Anyways, they sent me the loaner device form, I filled it out and signed it sent it back almost 4 days ago (Tuesday), every day since then they said my issue is being escalated and that I will receive the payment link for the loaner. It's now saturday and I still don't have the link. I've logged into their chat system almost 8-10 times this week. I spent over 2-3 hours in total dealing with emails, chats n just in general related to this issue. YesterdayDay and day before 3 times each used the chat system. I keep getting the same answer that my request is escalated and I will receive payment link for loaner. I explained to all the reps in chat each and every day that I need the loaner before I can send the repair phone back. I also need a proper working phone for my trip. It's now saturday I still have no answer no email with payment link no action nothing.... I am so dissapointed and for the first time in 7 years I am really considering iphone or Samsung. I was a champion one plus loyal customer, I referred family friends work colleagues over all these years. I've explained that to every rep I spoke to. And they can see my history of phone orders. If I do not have my loaner by this Monday, I have decided to officially stop buying one plus phones and will no longer recommend them. Especially with the poor customer service experience and product issue with my phone that I spent over one thousand dollars on and it hasn't even been 2 yrs. I tried to be patient and give them a chance. No one is taking my request seriously. I needed a working reliable phone for my trip. For work, emergency, and navigation while I'm on the road. This company has gone down hill over the past 1-2 years. There is no genuine urgency or concern from this company especially with a faulty product that not only injured my son, but caused major issues with my apps, my employment and all the time and energy spent contacting them getting no where....how difficult is it to send a simple payment link? I've done everything one plus has asked...yet they have failed me...
If I could leave 0 stars I would. These phones are horrible... Do not buy. Texts sent do not make it to recipient. I have missed many important texts sent by others also. Text threads disappear and will only reappear if you type in number manually. We actually went in to T-Mobile to buy Samsung's, but the snake oil salesman talked us into these "free" phones that he said we're comparable to the phones we wanted, they are not. Also, can't get voice mail to work. People say they leave messages that I never received. Now I'm stuck with these useless phones through my contract. Phone company will not help resolve this issue.
Phone caught fire and burned my hand severely. Logic board sparked igniting the battery on a Nord phone about 8 months ago. Since this time they claim to receive the incorrect phone due to there lack of organization. Besides outrageous outstanding hospital bill, they lost my phone. Will never purchase a device or do I recommend anyone using one. Device should be taken off the market. Customer service is a joke here.
I ordered a phone from this shop in May and I didn't receive it, whether it was stolen or something else. I was told that they would solve the problem within 5 days, but they didn't, they said they lost the ticket.Then they said they would solve it in 7-10 days, but they did not solve it again. Then they said I had to go to the police to write a complaint and to send them my passport through the post.It's almost the end of August and they did everything so that I could not receive my package.Never buy anything at this shop.
