I placed an order with Onuia for what they claimed to be premium luxury towels, but the entire experience has been a nightmare. Their refund and delivery policies are completely unrealistic, and their customer service is non-existent. Despite multiple follow-ups, they failed to resolve my issue or process a refund within a reasonable time. Onuia operates under misleading promises and offers no value or respect for customer's time and money once payment is made to them.I initiated my cancellation and requested for a refund before the items were shipped to me. I was informed as per the Return Policy I could not cancel my order and that I still had a 30day window after receiving the items to request for a return and refund. Onuia has asked me to return the towels to obtain my refund $425 however after reading all the return and refund experiences, I'm very skeptical that there will be any resolution. Avoid Onuia at all costs — their business practices are very deceptive, and I strongly advise others not to waste their money. I will also be filing formal complaints with the relevant consumer protection authorities in the Netherlands and China to report this fraudulent behavior.
Onuia is marketed as a luxury towel brand, known for its premium quality and elegant designs. However, the company is currently facing financial difficulties and is advertising a 50% discount on all products. Unfortunately, my experience with their product was quite disappointing. I ordered a bathrobe that was advertised as made from Egyptian cotton, but it turned out to be 100% polyester with no tags or proper description. This misleading practice is not only disappointing but also quite scandalous. I want to share this experience so that others are aware of the potential pitfalls when shopping with Onuia. When I tried to return the item after several communication , they offered me partial discount and informed me it costs 45$ to refund teh item so I better keep the item! I stopped communicating with them as it seemed waste of time. I just wish others don't do teh same mistake I did!
Updated Review:I originally received these “luxurious” towels on August 26th and was disappointed — they didn’t absorb well and felt far from luxurious, so I joked that I’d use them as “luxury” mops instead.However, after sharing my experience, the seller quickly reached out with an update and offered a full refund for the faulty product. I really appreciate their prompt and professional customer service. While the towels themselves didn’t meet my expectations, the excellent support certainly did.5 STAR FOR CUSTOMER CARE
I feel like an idiot. I was scammed by these guys. I purchased some luxury robes from Instagram as part of their closing on sale. I received what must be the cheapest polyester rubbish direct from China today. I would expect better for five dollars from Temu let alone $200 robes which I thought we were gonna be a great treat for my wife and I incredibly disappointing. Don’t fall for the scam like I did.
