I purchased three dressing gowns from Oniua and was very disappointed with the quality. The sizes and colours were wrong, and the fabric was simply not cotton as advertised. The care labels had also been deliberately cut off. When I asked for a refund, the company refused to accept responsibility, forcing me to cover return shipping costs to China even though it went against their own returns policy, which they kept referring me to!!They kept offering partial refunds, starting at 10% and increasing to 30%, each time telling me to just keep the faulty gowns. The whole process has been ridiculous and after now about 30 email exchanges with them, I am no further forward with my return and looks like I will be £180 out of pocket for simply cheap items which were totally different items to what was advertised.Stay clear of this company!
I ordered 16 towels from Onuia, and 11 arrived defective with serious quality issues. I provided photo evidence, but instead of honoring EU consumer law, the company only offered small partial refunds or insisted I return the items to China at my own expense, including shipping fees, possible import taxes, and even the risk of losing the parcel!!On the order page, a return address in Amsterdam was shown, but afterwards they claimed returns must go to China. This is misleading and unfair.I am now forced to pursue a chargeback and file complaints with consumer authorities. Be very careful before ordering from this company.
After 30 years, it was finally time to replace our old towels, which says everything about how long they lasted. The quality was truly top notch of course I ordered a new set from onuia right away and they’re already in use. Hopefully they’ll last just as long this time around… or maybe a little less, which would still be impressive
This company is a scam! There are so many out there that claim they are closing but it’s only to get you to feel sorry for them and buy their cheaply made products. Cannot even tell us exactly where their store front is. Say it’s in California, then website shows Netherlands. Say towels are made with Eygptian cotton, and it’s made in China! Avoid at all costs!
I ordered a big pack of towels (spa bundle, with 12 units) two days ago at 9pm.However, I decided to cancel it on the next morning at 8am because my husband had already bought other towels, of which I was not aware.I sent an e-mail to their contact address, and Josie (according to the signature of the e-mail, the founder of Onuia) replied to me a few hours later with the message: "We completely understand, and we’ve gone ahead and refunded your order [...]." I checked my credit card and, indeed, the whole amount was refunded. Therefore, I cannot assess the quality of the towels myself, but I can assess the customer service, which was great in my experience: fast and easy. Within less than 24 hours, I had made an order, I had requested to cancel it, and I had gotten my money back. This gives me confidence to try their products if I ever need new towels again. I'm curious to see the quality, to be honest, after seeing so many controversial reviews here.
Anything on Facebook saying it’s closing down, don’t trust it! Not only is it a scam it’s fraudulent and they should be prosecuted but difficult to do to a criminal Chinese outfit. Don’t be scammed out of your money, they operate for a few months than disappear! Disgraceful.
