I received my Rain router on…

I received my Rain router on 04/09/2025, but up to today it is still not activated. I have been calling customer service many times and every time I am told they will activate it, but nothing is happening. This has been very frustrating because I paid for the service and expected to be connected quickly. The lack of proper feedback and delays in activation are very disappointing.Reference 378739960695380475

Poor service and support

I have been asking for help since May without any help. Every call ends with a reference number which is never resolved. June the first call was the actual one logged though not resolved. It's now September I am still not assisted. for the past 3 days i have without service with little concern from Rain. These is the latest reference number,Reference Number: 37629569. i have once again on the 4th of September emailed proof of payment still no one from rain is saying anything.

Rain Customer Service TeamI am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unjust billing and disconnection of my Rain Wi-Fi account.I applied for a Rain Wi-Fi service on 28 August 2025 through one of your agents. At no point during the sign-up process was I clearly informed of the billing structure or payment schedule. The agent assured me that the billing would only start on 1 st not even saying 1st of what month.However, to my shock, my Wi-Fi service has already been disconnected,and I have been told that I am overdue by R649 a full month’s payment from 1 August 2025.This is highly inaccurate and unacceptable, as I did not even have an account or active service with Rain at that time. The service was only initiated on 28 August 2025,and logically, if any billing were to apply, it should be pro-rated from 28 August to 1 September, not a full month in advance.I tried to resolve this issue via customer support. I chatted with an agent named Lelia,who promised to escalate the issue and reactivate my service. However, no action has been taken, and my connection remains suspended. I also spoke to another agent named Richard,who disconnected the call after I explained my situation – this is not only unprofessional but deeply frustrating.I work from home, and this disconnection is threatening my job and livelihood all due to the negligence of your sales agent who failed to explain the payment terms correctly, and due to your billing system that is now demanding payment for a period before I even signed up.Furthermore, I am now being told that this will reflect negatively on my credit score. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. I have acted in good faith, and your internal miscommunication should not become my financial and professional burden.I formally request the following:1. Immediate reactivation of my Rain Wi-Fi service.2. A corrected invoice that only reflects charges from 28 August 2025 onwards,pro-rated as appropriate.3. A full investigation into the conduct of your sales and customer service agents.4. Confirmation that no negative listing will be made on my credit profile due to this error.5. A written apology acknowledging the inconvenience caused.I trust that you will handle this matter with urgency. If I do not receive a resolution within , I will have no choice but to escalate this to ICASA and the National Consumer Commission**, as this is a clear case of misleading sales and unfair billing.I look forward to your prompt respons

Worst service ever

Worst service ever. I requested to cancel my rain due to rain cutting my internet off after i arranged to have the payment date changed. Nothing was changed and my internet cut off. I will not recommend rain to anyone. You call for service and only receive it 20 days later. Its absolutely disgusting

Bad service, this is by far the worst customer service i have experienced in my life, Customer satisfaction and assistance with this company is downright poor. Communication is terrible and i dread anyone to call the service department, I wish i could also just shrug my shoulders and tell people it is what it is. I will rather use any other service with a one star rating than use rain again

Not getting what I pay for – Worst ISP out there

I am on a high-speed Rain plan, yet my internet speeds are consistently far below what I am paying for. My downloads and uploads are extremely low, making it almost impossible to stream, game, or work properly. I expect reliable service when paying for a premium plan, but Rain has failed to deliver. Immediate action is needed to fix these speed issues. Would not recommend this ISP. If you work from home, do online gaming and/or simply enjoy watching TV. Its so bad, absolute scam.

The rain team's services are becoming increasingly disappointing. I am struggling to understand the rationale behind the escalating rates, which now require us to pay more than we should. Furthermore, we are required to make double payments for activation, which often does not occur. This situation is particularly frustrating given our daily reliance on the internet, only to experience disconnections. The team's communication is inadequate, with unfulfilled promises to send links and a lack of follow-up. Interacting with the WhatsApp support yields unhelpful responses, such as 'I don't understand you, I'll get back to you later.' This is unacceptable and stressful. I also find it concerning that honest reviews are often ignored, while only positive reviews receive responses. I urge you to address these issues promptly.

Rain wants me to pay R2300 for billing…

Rain wants me to pay R2300 for billing me from May 2024 for services they dont even provide. They say the contract is a month to month and payment dependent. The minute you are unable to pay the service is canceled but alas, the contract is not canceled. They continue billing you for services they dont even provide. They refuse for you to cancel the account until you pay arrears for services they dont even provide you with. Maybe they dont know the meaning of a month to month contract. Multichoice should teach them a few things. I will not pay this and cancel and write off that fake bill that keeps accumulating whilst there is no service you are providing on my side. The ombudsman must know about this.

Its been two days since rain shout down…

Its been two days since rain shout down my connection after paying because i changed a payment date to a future dated date. They have been contacting me non-stop for me to make a payment & payment plan which i have numerously told them that it would not be possible. I have been calling to ask them to refund me the payment & allocate that required payment but everytime to call they drop the call. I have logged numerous complaints & have been told that a manager will call but but none have ever since. This has been the worst experience and its sad cause ive had them for a while with no issues.
