I personally do not like UPS and prefer DHL due to better accessibility in the Netherlands. Moreover, I would have only liked more transparency regarding the package insurance, due to the fact that upon sending my package the bid offer from rebuy was +800€. You can imagine how I felt having read that UPS sometimes loses its packages on the way to rebuy, according to people commenting on Trustpilot. But to summarise, my package was left at a parcel shop on 3rd of August and arrived in Berlin on 7th. The assessment of the products was finished by 9th and I am currently awaiting the products that were not accepted by them as a return. It seems that their processes are very standardised and smooth, from my first impression.
I ordered Beats by Dre pro earbuds. They were giving me huge issues so I sent them back. The package was signed for and delivered at the correct address, however ReBuy claims they didn’t receive it and won’t budge. Extremely inadequate customer care dept. that seems to have nobody present willing to listen to the customer. All replies were generic and written with lack of compassion in a non negotiating manner. I now have no earbuds ánd lost the money. Would not recommend whatsoever.EDIT AFTER READING REPLY:ReBuy only offered one service to return the item. One that has lost my items several times in the past. Speaking to all three services it took for my shipment to get to ReBuy’s depot, I was assured the oackage was delivered and scanned in. Also, all said ReBuy had to file the claim as the package is in different territory than the sender (plus they only speak German) and ReBuy wasn’t willing to do so. ReBuy not once met me in the middle in this entire process. I also never received a reply to my last email. They must know they’re being unreasonable.
Rebuy offered EUR 179,28 for my iPhone X 256 GB. I placed this phone in a case right after opening its box, along with a screen protector. I confidently rated its condition as very good, as its condition could not possibly be better with actual use over five years. I was thus shocked when Rebuy rejected my phone, saying that it was only good to be recycled. They cited a missing speaker grille and signs that there were previous attempts to open the phone. Absolutely ridiculous and baseless evaluation - I do not understand how there can be a missing speaker grille and there had never been an attempt to open the phone. It still has its original battery.I promptly had the phone returned to me. This is perhaps the only redeeming value of Rebuy - that packages to and from the company are free and insured. I was able to sell the phone for EUR 123 to another refurbished phones web site.
Terrible. We tried to sell iPhone 11, and on the site the proposal were good =290 euro. The iPhone was in very good condition , 0 scratches on the back side, as I always used the protection case and very small scratches on the screen( you can just see than it was used). They return with feedback than there was a lot of scratches and they can propose only 90 euro. I was very “surprised” and asked to return iPhone back. I received it back in very bad condition with full of scratches -especially on the back side of iPhone. You can clearly see these scratches are brand new and have been made on purpose. It might even be that they have replaced the front and back entirely. i urge you all to please don’t ever make use of this website or their services.
I had a good experience as a customer, but trying to sell something I realized they're a massive scam. Don't waste your time trying to sell your device!I tried to sell a 4 year old Macbook Pro- Apple trade-in value would have been around 450€ (it's used but in great condition). After going through the dialogue online, rebuy offered 500€. That sounded good to me, so I followed the instructions, packed the device in a huge unbreakable styrofoam box, and sent it over to Rebuy.I didn't hear anything for about 3 weeks, but that's to be expected and nothing seemed wrong about this.But then I got my valuation, and due to an "irreparable damaged screen" they offered me 50€ instead of the original 500€. A little negotiation... fine. But 10% of the original price? What a joke.So I asked them to send the device back, which they did. And it arrived back in the same prestigious condition it was at. A perfectly working screen. Not a single scratch.So my guess is that they have an algorithm in place that low-balls you on devices that are harder for them to sell, and banks on the fact that you already invested time (sunk cost) in shipping your device there... and just click "whatever, just give me the money".Well, don't. For a company that's trying to position itself as sustainable partner, that's outright hypocritical and scammy, and it looks like I'm not the only one.edit/ Just saw the reply from Rebuy below.I got my device back as I sent it over and was able to sell it for 450€ in a Mac resell shop in my neighborhood. I recently sold my Macbook to Rebuy.nl and was provided with a UPS label for shipping. Unfortunately, my laptop was lost in transit. Rebuy advertises that their labels are insured, so I expected them to cover the loss. However, my experience with their customer service has been extremely disappointing and frustrating.Order TRN49654039Rebuy.nl refused to pay out the insurance coverage, claiming that I am a business owner and not a consumer customer. This is simply untrue; I am a consumer customer and should be entitled to the same protection as any other customer. Furthermore, I could not find any specific clause in their Terms and Conditions that excludes business owners from insurance coverage.It has been over three months since I first contacted Rebuy.nl, and the issue remains unresolved. Their refusal to honor the advertised insurance policy not only demonstrates a lack of integrity but may also constitute false advertising.I strongly urge potential customers to be cautious when dealing with Rebuy.nl. Their advertised policies may not be honored, leaving you with a significant financial loss and a prolonged, frustrating experience. I regret having chosen to do business with them and would advise others to look for alternative platforms that are more transparent and reliable. I have lost more than 2200 Euro with them.
