Review Time
I ordered a rug 2 weeks ago, paid for it online and it never arrived. UPS said the address was wrong. I supplied the correct address. I contacted rugs.co.uk and was told their 'atucorrect' was to blame. They said they'd changed the address with carrier but a week later still no rug. It has shipped from the States, not the UK. This is not a UK firm. I wouldn't have ordered from them if I'd known. They offered me a 10% discount today and an apology for the 2 week wait to receive my rug. It still hasn't arrived.
I haven’t bought a rug from this company but I was about to until I read the reviews.I find it very strange that the majority of the 5 star reviews only mention the ease of using the website! Hmmmm!All of the lower star reviews are about shoddy rugs that don’t lay flat, come from America, and cost a fortune to return. So I won’t be buying.Thank you to all of those who bother to leave reviews.Update: I just chatted with them online from their website: I asked if they were based in the UK and that trustpilot reviews suggested USA. Liezl replied “we our based in the USA”I said “are” based not “our” basedLiezl said ‘sure, thank you’I asked ‘why pose as a UK site then? Surely that’s misleading and false advertising?’Liezl apologised for the confusion and said that they’re not misleading the customer and that they sell globally.I disagreed about the misleading part and that was that.
Looking for a new circular rug came across Rugs.UK, found just what we liked and made the purchase.I believe that the rug we are replacing came from this merchant and is still in great condition and will be used elsewhere in the home!New rug delivered 15/04/2025 and now in place, looking good, very pleased with purchase.
DO NOT USE!If in the UK it is not worth using this company. If you need to return an item they do not cover return costs and in fact they also do not disclose all necessary information to you such as costs and import tax BEFORE you send it and you get stung with a hefty bill. You may as well not return and I believe that is their intention.The customer service are incredibly unhelpful, and we have now wasted a lot of money on a rug that wasn't even good quality - hence trying to return!Go for rug companies that offer a good returns process, which we have thankfully now found!
